Summer 2018 Transfer Window

...it’s the first day of the transfer window and there’s very little in this mornings rumour columns about Marcel Brands inspired incomings or outgoings;

- According to Spanish outlet, Marca, Sevilla are looking at the option of adding Sandro to their squad for next season. The La Liga outfit now have to negotiate with Everton to see if they are willing to let him go. Sandro has failed to score for Sevilla since his return to Spain.

- The Salt Lake Tribune reports Wayne Rooney could be on his way to MLS. The Washington Post say Rooney and DC United had resolved major issues in their negotiations.

- Middlesbrough fans have taken to Twitter to discuss whether a permanent deal for Everton’s Mo Besic is worth pursuing. The midfielder has generally impressed during his loan period but two lacklustre performances in the Championship Play-Off semi final have raised a lot of doubts.

- Calciomercato suggest Everton and West Ham are interested in Sampdoria’s Dennis Praet. This isn’t the first time The Toffees have been linked with the Belgian midfielder and interest might have cooled with the changes in Everton’s managerial infrastructure.

- Everton might have to break the Turkish record to sign target Garry Rodrigues from Galatasaray. Speaking to Ajansspor, Galatasaray vice-President Mehmet Ozcan said “I know 5 clubs sent scouts to watch him last week. I think after his recent form his value is €30m”. The 27 year old winger is a Cape Verdi international.

- Belgian outlet, HLN, suggest Everton’s Henry Onyekuru is in Germany today for talks regardinga season long loan with Borussia Monchengladbach.
Thank you @Eggs made up these are back ;) very much appreciated  also really hope the Onyekuru rumour is true, don’t want him going back to Anderlecht if they’ve kept him out of the side on purpose

What's Goretzka coming in got to do with Gnabry's chances? Wildly different players.

Yes but it's still another player coming in who might take a spot on the bench or be played in an attacking midfield position. If Bayern give Ribery/Robben new contracts to add to their other options already in Coman, Muller and James Rodriguez (Malcolm from Bordeaux is a rumoured target for them too) then Gbabry may look for the exit. They did loan him out straight away after buying him as well, I'm not sure if he's in their immediate vision but this is the second season in a row in the Bundesliga he's impressed now.

It’s great this but proper weird, my enthusiasm for all things Everton is back in the space of 1 day, and I’m more looking forward to outs than ins for the first time ever.

For starters, Joel, Mangala, Garbutt, Besic, Galloway, Browning and Mirallas could leave and you wouldn’t even notice. That’s 7 lighter than last year.

Then you can punt the old/bad attitude brigade, Rooney, Jagielka, Williams and Schneiderlin.

And finally the simply not good enough lot, Martina, Sandro, Bolasie, and arguably Klaassen and Niasse.

Now I’m not saying it’s realistic to get rid of 16 players in one window, but it’s actually very possible if you replace them with 5/6 decent players.

He's a striker now.

Yaaay eggs in the mornin....best start to the day.

Theres a few possibles there.

Going down the list and ignoring the 1s already at biggish clubs or of a fine vintage!, you have :

Balotelli - Clearly we all know about him......................
Lozano - Left winger that can very much play on the right
Kenny Tete - RB, Clearly not an option for now, but Coleman is 30 this year, so maybe 1 for the future
Kluviet - Left Winger

They are the stand outs that most will know

Then theres a few left field :

Rodrigo Ely - Brazilian CB, ex Milan now playing in Alaves
Derrick Luckassen - Dutch CB at PSV
Mohammed Fares - LB
Owen Wijndal - 18 year old LB
Donyell Malen - Highly rated 18 year old Dutch former Arsenal yoot just making the breakthrough at PSV.

Wouldnt be shocked to see any of them names over the next few transfer windows.

i'd like to see us adding to Sigurdsson/Lookman/Walcott/Vlasic/Dowell in the 3 attacking midfield slots.

Kluivert or Richarlison
Lozano or Malcom

2 of them in and we'd look much more rapid.

We definitely need more pace and high energy players.

We were as slow as a fella with constipation last season and that needs to change

Isn't Balotelli off to Marseille?

Garry Rodrigues

His parents have spelt both his first and last name wrong! Poor lad.

Tbh I can see tosun bagging 20+ next season if he has a rotating selection of the following supporting him:
Lozano, kluivert, lookman, Walcott and richarlison.
Someone like nzonzi alongside Gueye to keep the midfield solid and allow gylfi to roam.
So much pace and trickery around him, it'll be like the first 6 months of jelavic
