Yeah, just looked at who Mino has in his stable. It’s not really what I expected. The two you mentioned were the only ones that make a lot of sense. Idk if we’d go for both but I’d be happy with either.

Theres a few possibles there.

Going down the list and ignoring the 1s already at biggish clubs or of a fine vintage!, you have :

Balotelli - Clearly we all know about him......................
Lozano - Left winger that can very much play on the right
Kenny Tete - RB, Clearly not an option for now, but Coleman is 30 this year, so maybe 1 for the future
Kluviet - Left Winger

They are the stand outs that most will know

Then theres a few left field :

Rodrigo Ely - Brazilian CB, ex Milan now playing in Alaves
Derrick Luckassen - Dutch CB at PSV
Mohammed Fares - LB
Owen Wijndal - 18 year old LB
Donyell Malen - Highly rated 18 year old Dutch former Arsenal yoot just making the breakthrough at PSV.

Wouldnt be shocked to see any of them names over the next few transfer windows.

Yeah the bottom half I admittedly know next to nothing about. I think Super Mario is on a free? I’d actually have him on a short term deal to see if his head is finally screwed on properly.

Found a decent write up on the boy Wijndal, but yeah, I just plucked those names, no idea if any of them are any good.

Yes, Mario looks like hes free this summer, would be risky asf.

He may only be 17 but the excitement already surrounding Wijndal’s talent in Alkmaar is massive. He has been with the AZ Academy since he joined from Haarlem in 2010 and quickly rose through the ranks to become a regular with Jong AZ in the second division last season, making 24 appearances. His form impressed coach John van den Brom who handed Wijndal his first team debut in an away match against PSV Eindhoven. Wijndal played the full ninety minutes in a 4-2 defeat, which made him the youngest ever debutante for the club at 17 years and 68 days. This was his only first team appearance of the season, with Ridgeciano Haps holding down the left-back slot.

A move to Ajax was rumoured this summer but Wijndal is fully committed to AZ and is set to compete with Thomas Ouwejan to be first choice left-back this season.

Wijndal has been a regular for Netherlands at every youth level up to U19.

Style of play

Wijndal has featured at centre-back at times in the AZ Academy but his future definitely lies on the left side of defence. He has all the attributes of a modern full back, with Wijndal as comfortable going forward as he is at the back. His strongest assets are his pace and tackling ability, but Wijndal also has excellent technique with the ball at his feet. He is still only 17 and has much to learn but he has the potential to be one of the most gifted players to come out of the AZ Academy.

What to expect from Wijndal this season

Wijndal will hope to permanently remain with the first team and battle Thomas Ouwejan for the left-back slot. Even if he doesn’t feature week in week out in the Eredivisie, Jong AZ’s promotion to the Eerste Divisie last season means Wijndal will gain plenty of experience against tougher opponents than he has faced before which will only aid his development.

Yeah, I think hes going to be a special combination of defensive tenacity and talent going forward. I also do think that its extremely unlikely he goes anywhere this year, as hes still very young, and even if some big team lures him away, will want to at least give another full year to his dream team, Celtic.
I’m still not sure what makes this kid so special. He’s good, but I just don’t see one single thing he does that is outstanding.

...it’s the first day of the transfer window and there’s very little in this mornings rumour columns about Marcel Brands inspired incomings or outgoings;

- According to Spanish outlet, Marca, Sevilla are looking at the option of adding Sandro to their squad for next season. The La Liga outfit now have to negotiate with Everton to see if they are willing to let him go. Sandro has failed to score for Sevilla since his return to Spain.

- The Salt Lake Tribune reports Wayne Rooney could be on his way to MLS. The Washington Post say Rooney and DC United had resolved major issues in their negotiations.

- Middlesbrough fans have taken to Twitter to discuss whether a permanent deal for Everton’s Mo Besic is worth pursuing. The midfielder has generally impressed during his loan period but two lacklustre performances in the Championship Play-Off semi final have raised a lot of doubts.

- Calciomercato suggest Everton and West Ham are interested in Sampdoria’s Dennis Praet. This isn’t the first time The Toffees have been linked with the Belgian midfielder and interest might have cooled with the changes in Everton’s managerial infrastructure.

- Everton might have to break the Turkish record to sign target Garry Rodrigues from Galatasaray. Speaking to Ajansspor, Galatasaray vice-President Mehmet Ozcan said “I know 5 clubs sent scouts to watch him last week. I think after his recent form his value is €30m”. The 27 year old winger is a Cape Verdi international.

- Belgian outlet, HLN, suggest Everton’s Henry Onyekuru is in Germany today for talks regardinga season long loan with Borussia Monchengladbach.

Top work. As usual.

Oh yes, my morning cups of tea will now be complete again reading these update. Thanks Eggs.

Slightly left field shout but I think we could do a lot worse than approach Bayern Munich for Serge Gnabry. He's done well at Hoffenheim although he has had a couple of injuries and Bayern are bringing in Goretzeka so maybe he will feel like he needs to leave for first team football. I always felt he didn't get the break he deserved at Arsenal and when they loaned him out, they couldn't really have chosen a more unsuitable destination than Tony Pulis' West Brom. Think he'd be brilliant on the left hand side for us.

What's Goretzka coming in got to do with Gnabry's chances? Wildly different players.
