..absolutely, and this lad is left sided which is a big plus. All conjecture at this point, I expect there will be plenty of this type of link in coming months.

Hoping Gibson kicks on even more this season eggs. He looked a level above everyone last season and looked as cook as a cucumber at centre back.

..I agree, Matey, especially considering he was younger than his teammates and ended up being skipper for the last few games. Great attitude, decent left foot, it looks like the club see him as a CB as opposed to a LB. Only time will tell if he can make the step up.

I don't know how I would feel about Jack Wilshere, I think he would improve us but we are so heavy loading in Midfield, Maybe if you dropped a Morgan or Gana for him I could see it working but then we have Siggy Lookman etc etc.

CM is only short of an athletic box to box midfielder with a bit of pace.
Too many times this season the defence had nobody to clear the ball to to get us up the pitch hence Pickford launching long balls
A box to box midfielder and a pact left winger is all we need in midfield.

..here’s a summary of the transfer rumours for this Friday morning;

- In November, Eindhoven Blagdad reported that Watford Manager, Marco Silva, was keen on PSV youngster Armando Obispo. Silva and Brands could team up at Everton to get the 18 year old CB this summer.

- According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds United have opened talks with LB Tom Pearce in an effort to keep him at Elland Road amid interest from Everton.

- 4th Official website reports Everton and Manchester United interest in Spurs LB, Danny Rose. Tottenham apparently want £37m for the player.

- Everton have been linked with Porto defender, Ivan Marcano, but according to Gianluca di Marzio, the player is in advanced talks regarding a move to AS Roma.

- Everton, West Ham and Wolves are reportedly keen on Arsenal midfielder, Jack Wilshire, but Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter urging him to stay.

...and bits of Manager stuff;

- The Daily Mirror says Marcel Brands first task will be to secure the arrival of Marco Silva as Everton Manager.

- Der Telegraaf suggest Brands will bring his links with super agent Mino Raiola to Everton.

- FootballInsider website reports Everton’s appointment of Marco Silva is ‘all but done’.

- Sky Sports say Everton managerial target, Paulo Fonseca, has signed a new contract with Ukrainian Champions, Shakhtar Donetsk.

- The Guardian report Everton target, Marco Silva, is not interested in the West Ham job.

Thanks for this, for today and until the window closes. I always appreciate these compilations.

An aspect of this summer that is going to be telling in my opinion is our transfer outlay and investment made and the motivation behind that.

This is the first year we dont have a highly sought after asset to sell no Stones, no Lukaku, no Barkley or can bank on a big fee coming in. I suspect we might see significant reduced activity.

Be interesting to see how this plays out and likely a good insight into the Moshiri era.

..it’s a good point, but you would think any new manager and DoF will be told there’s a decent amount to spend.
