..we’re coming to the end of the first week of the summer transfer window and there’s been very little activity anywhere. Here’s a roundup of rumours for this Thursday morning;
- According to the Liverpool Echo, Leighton Baines has no intention of moving to the US amid interest from MLS. The veteran defender wants to stay at Goodison and work with whoever comes in as new Everton Manager.
- ESPN continue to mention Everton, Chelsea and Arsenal interest in 17 year old Hamburg defender, Josha Vagnoman.
- Various outlets report Wayne Rooney has arrived in the US for talks and a medical with MLS side, DC United. The Washington Post suggest Rooney has already begun house hunting.
- The Telegraph says Marcel Brands plans talks with Ademola Lookman and his representatives in a bid to convince the youngster to stay at Everton.
- La Campeche in Mexico are worried that Everton could scupper Luuk de Jong’s move to Club America. The PSV striker plans to move this summer and a switch to Mexico looks likely, but the player says he’s always liked working with Brands, lightheartedly nodding towards an Everton move.
- Galatasaray Vice-President, Abdurrahim Albayrak, has spoken to Bien Sports in Turkey regarding Everton interest in Cape Verde international, Garry Rodrigues; “There’s no offers for him at the moment. We’ll play in the Champions League and are never looking to sell players”.
- Turkish Football report Besiktas are another club keen to take Everton forward, Henry Onyekuru, on loan.
- Dutch newspaper, Voetball International, say playmaker Hakim Ziyech has an agreement in place with Ajax to leave this summer amidst interest from Everton and Liverpool.

- The Liverpool Echo report Marcel Brands has big plans to keep Everton’s Academy producing top talent. Brands wants to appoint a modern coach who wants to work with young players.
- According to The Daily Star, Marcel Brands will meet with Marco Silva this week to discuss the vacant managers post at Everton.
