Ismaily at 28 is older than the players we should target. Unlikely he would get a work permit either. As for Arnautovic we want to buy players like him from Europe as they emerge not aged 29 after the likes of Hughes and Moyes have had their grubby mits on him. These are not the types of deal we have brought in Brands to pursue.

Likeliest age group 18 to 23.

With one or two quality 24-26 max.

Someone said he’d pretty much gone 18 months without a break, add in adapting to the demands of the premiership then maybe it all caught up with him rather than him being found out.

Ruben Loftus Cheek would be an amazing signing - I wonder how much Chelsea would want though, 40-60m ? If Grealish is quoted at 40m then a proven prem youngster has got to be worth a bit.

On that note, we'd be bonkers to let Davies, Kenny, Baningime, DCL or Lookman go anywhere.

You can never tell what it is with young players.Davies eg looks like a totally different player his second season.

You mean he was decent one half and absolutely crap the other. West Ham wouldnt have got £10m back on him had they tried to sell him in January.
