Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini is in advanced negotiations with another top Premier League club.

Press Association Sport is reporting that the Belgium international is edging towards leaving Old Trafford following strong interest from a rival team.

The 30-year-old is out of contract at the end of the month and will be able to walk away for nothing.

United boss Jose Mourinho has stressed for much of the last year that he is keen to keep Fellaini at the club - but he started just two league games since the turn of the year.
Arsenal..

"I believe [we can achieve our goals] because we will have big support from the owner and the Chairman to give us the conditions to be more competitive, to make Everton competitive in all the matches and get the results our club and fans deserve."

Sounds like we've got a fair bit of money to spend again. Hopefully this time we get it right.

andre Gomez mentioned. Any thoughts or insight ? I don’t watch a lot of La Liga. As always the highlight vid looks good.

The good news is there's a market for our scrap. Newly promoted teams will look at Williams and Bolaise etc and think they can add some much needed top flight experience so we should be able to shift them. The bad news is that it'll be on loan or we'll have to supplement their wages to move, to the tune of probably 50-75%.

But if the Iranians got the dough.........
You serious Fulham have the likes of sessegnon and wolves
But 'the lad from Portugal' (assume you mean Carvalho) is a deep-lying playmaker/defensive mid. Not a no.10.

And also, why would you want to give Liverpool £40m for a crocked 30-year-old who is awful?

Come on lad, you're on a wind up.
His been injured last season, that's it, his not crocked.
He wouldn't cost 40m, I think around 20m would do it.
I'm not talking about carvalho,
If he has a good world cup for England his worth considering imo.
He is a relatively cheap alternative for a link between midfield and attack.

...and here’s what the transfer rumour columns are saying about Everton this Tuesday morning;

- According to the Northern Echo, Everton have leapfrogged Chelsea in the battle to sign Newcastle skipper, Jamaal Lascelles, and are prepared to pay £30m for the 24 year old Centre Back.

- The Times is reporting Everton and DC United have reached a deal for the transfer of Wayne Rooney. It is now down to Rooney to agree terms with the MLS side.

- AS suggest Everton are considering a £25m move for Barcelona’s unsettled midfielder, Andre Gomes. The 24 year old Portuguese international moved to Barcelona from Valencia in 2016 but has struggled to deal with the weight of expectation at the Camp Nou.

- 4th Official pick up on Besiktas links with Everton midfielder, Davy Klaassen. Apparently the Turkish giants want the player on an initial 12 months loan.

- Dutch outlet, AD, suggest Everton are tracking Sporting Clube de Portugal striker, Bas Dost.

- Spanish media outlet, Mundo Deportivo, say Real Sociedad striker, Willian Jose, is attracting attention from Everton. The 26 year old scored 20 goals in 40 appearances for Sociedad last season. It is claimed the Toffees are prepared to meet the Brazilians £52.7m release clause.

- SportWitness website suggest William Carvalho is considering cancelling his contract with Sporting Lisbon due to the attacks at Alcochete last month (Sporting players attacked at their training ground). If successful that would leave the player available on a free transfer with Everton looking the most likely destination.

- Reports continue to link Everton with 29 year old Celta Vigo midfielder, Daniel Wass. The Danish international was one of the stand-out performers in Spain last season and, with a year left on his contract, could be available for £5m.

Glad they confirmed that. A Lb, A CM and a clear out. Too many people thinking of luxury signings (CF, AM) which was just unrealistic. Perhaps a CB to replace Jags and Williams, if we can even get rid of...
There will be more than a LB & CM. We will definitely get a CB and another forward player.

Bas Dost an interesting link due to his goal scoring record being pretty phenomenal. Whether he could carry that on in the EPL is another matter though. His age also means you surely would not want to be gambling mega bucks on him though.

I got indexed for saying agents have been briefed exactly that, young LB, LCB, MF (do not be surprised if Carvalho IS seen by Silva as box-box, lost weight last season and really improved because of it), ST. Obviously lots out and some U23 in but very targeted quality over quantity approach.

Will it work? Have to wait and see but much more coordinated and professional than last summer’s supermarket sweep.

To save others the trouble..

@orly I doubled down because it is direct information from two agents. No idea who our specific targets are (Carvalho comment above was just a response to others) but hopeful that this summer is the one we come to look back on as the start of good times.
