Utd are dour under Jose because they defend deep and compact. Spurs press high and stop attacks at source.

Us? We expose our full backs (latter year Martinez) or have them sit so deep that it curtails their offensive prominence.

Our defence was so deep last year that we should call them Polaris. The centre back slowness forced the change so no wonder the FB's attacking skills were stifled!

I'm not sure how you know as he's not played that role - that is my point. I've never seen him play wing, I've not seem him crossing the ball very often, I'm not entirely sure how much pure pace he has, or how comfortable he is on the sideline. I think he's a terrific inside forward, think he can dribble, pass, and score. Lots of tricks and he got a lot stronger last year on the ball. He's quick, too, great feet. But again, I've not seen him play wing effectively.
 
I know this is paper talk, why can’t we sell players rather than loan them out, Bolasie fenerbache want him on loan.

Then Klaassen wanted by Turkish club.

Just sell and don’t deal with these clubs who have no interest in making it permanent deal

Unfortunately both of them are on a massive weekly wage and the bill needs to be reduced quickly to bring in new players, on last seasons performances I don’t think my local Sunday league side would stump up 50p for either of them! Loan with option to sell knowing full well they’ll be back next season

Easier said than done, not many clubs out there would touch some of these players because of the stupid wages we've put them on

He’s played wide midfield literally every time he’s been on the pitch for us.

He played as an inside forward, I don't recall him playing wide as a winger. There's a pretty big difference as they occupy different space on the pitch and require different skillsets. I think he's terrific playing as an inside forward, but having a guy that can play wing pretty capably from both sides of the pitch is worth something.

This idea that playing left midfield is a world of difference from playing left of a front 3 is just modern football fan nonsense.
He can do either better than Bolasie.

Agreed. It's splitting hairs when people differentiate between the two. Had someone tell me that Arnautovich isn't a winger the other day, and that he has seldom played left wing throughout his career.
 

Bolasie will surprise a few on here this season. Vault me.

And not in a Gordon Ramsay, "You surprise me... with how rubbish you are" way either.

Will he be doing another cringe " el tornado kick" video? Funny how he can do that but can't dribble with the ball properly on a pitch.
