@Barnfred 55
And you go to the premiership for 30/40 mill are blown out of it. Looks half decent, but would prefer to give the Lookman a shot and not piss yet more money away

Just on the echo reports above,

Nikola Milenkovic played brilliantly today and seemed to nullify every attack he faced.

Seemed very good for Fiorentina also at Centre back.

Tbh not really focused on him bar todays games but he looks a very good player...if only he was left sided.

Also Sheff Weds...perhaps @Eggs might know...we were also linked with another of their young lads last week

...Sean Clare in recent days, George Hirst historically.

Maybe, but I don’t fancy us paying massively over the odds for so called Prem certified safe options only for them to flop like Bolasie/Keane.

The sort of player required to give our midfield a bit more bottle & drive...

The fee however has to be right & realistic...

From our own academy we have produced Kenny, Davies, Baningime who have all played in the first team Dowell and Connolly can be added to that list as a stand out talents.

Was told by someone very reliable that Preston had made quite a big bid to sign Connolly permanently but Everton haven't decided whether they think he'll make it at Everton or not yet.

Things I know...

...Lozano is good. Not because he had a great game today, but because he's been outstanding for PSV, Mexico, and Pachuca before that.

Chucky is also versatile. He can play as a true wing and as a central attacker.

Mexico's front 3 includes a right back, Layun, and Carlos Vela, who is absoutely still good. He was no slouch at Real Sociedad, even if he never really made it at Arsenal. Lookman absolutely doesn't get into that side ahead of Chucky or Vela.

Lookman is going to be a contributor next year, but to ask him to start a left inside forward, is not the best idea UNLESS we are buying a stud left back, a stud box-to-box player, and an elite center back.

Sigurdsson is not an 8, should never play 8, and the idea that we should take our most creative midfielder and make him play a position he's never EVER played before is just absurd. We paid money for him to score and set up goals. Like he's done at EVERY team he's ever been with. He should be the pivot in Silva's middle 3. It's the perfect position for him.

But if he plays as a pivot in the middle 3 that means we play 2 DMS behind him, if he plays as an 8, which I personally dont see how he cant, that means he can play ALONGSIDE somebody and still create and score.

Didnt someone post the other day that Preston were after Garbutt?

I wonder what a big bid would be...

Like Shakhtar wouldnt have sold Fred mate?

I get your point but the amount of people falling over themselves to defend the club is nauseating after the debacle of last season.

The fanbase should be keeping a watchful eye over everything this summer as they dont deserve goodwill at this point (the club havent deserved any in the last 2 decades of mis management in all honesty).

£25-30 million from Brands and he would have been through the door weeks ago dont kid yourself. We are waiting to sell x amount of players before funds are there to strengthen it really is that simple.
you have as much brain cells as ross barkley mate. We need to sell to reduce our bloated squad if we dont we run the risk of being in trouble with FFP and the PL financial rules
