I think we would get loftus-cheek to be fair.... De-ligt probably not.

There's some bargains to be had on the back of the world cup anyway. I thought that Bronn looked good for Tunisia last night - strong and aggressive. May not be technically as good as we need - but if he can break up the play it gives the technically gifted players a chance to play with more freedom.

For us to succeed, we need to be the club who signs these players first, not a year later for inflated prices....Brands now needs to show us he can find new young talent (something Walsh couldn't)...

Of course we do, but these teams didn’t just sign those players. It’s a numbers game. Sign 10, 20 kids, one may turn out to be the real deal. We did it with John Stones. We may have done it with Lookman. But for every one of those there’s a Garbutt or a George Green....

We need min 2-3 1st team ready players right now & to be also signing promising kids, who’ll hopefully come good.
 
I know not directly us, but might have some knock on to the other Sporting players, but have Wolves signed Rui Patricio on a free or have they paid for him??

Yeah am trying to work it out, from what I can gather they have signed him on a free - but surely this could change depending the outcome of the court case? they are either not bothered and happy to pay the fee if it comes to that, or are confident that they have legally cancelled their contracts.

Interesting few weeks ahead for the sporting lads who bailed.

Potentially for us considering links to Carvalho and Martins.

They were apparently prepared to pay 18m.
They signed him in this dodgy manner knowing worst that can happen is the fee is set by a tribunal, but likely will be free.

..if we truly want a Sporting Lisbon contract rebel, the clever play might be to offer SL a knockdown fee so at least they are getting something for the player and it negates a court case. I dare say the players and their agents are doing this to get lucrative Bosnians, SL could be in a right mess.

Of course! Perfect opportunity - Mendes would have been in their ears immediately after the training ground incident: "Here we go lads, we've hit the jackpot here."

I wouldn't be surprised if Patricio has been paid 5m or so by Wolves to sign for him, and on a massive wage too. Still a bargain. Oh and obviously the same for Mendes.
 
Wolves are going to be a force next season and its come from strong signings such as the amazing Rueben Neves and now Rui Patricio...
I am not aware of the full details but i heard something like the new owners have a relationship with a big time agent who is directing his players to the club

Does anybody know the full situation and whether this is similar to the relationship between Brands and Raiola? Raiola coincidently being Lozano’s agent

Raiola sent a lot of the youngsters signed up to him to wolves.
Hence why they are smashing it.

There looking at offering neves a new deal as his current one has a 40m release clause.
