I`d take a loan players for a season, as this season is gonna be all about stabilisation and re building.

If loan players can help stabilise things, whilst the dead wood is punted and Silva sorts out the team then so be it.

Look at Lukaku, no one thought we had a chance of signing him or that he would sign for us.

Agreed, I can understand why the option dropped off the radar when there was money floating about, but we used this brilliantly in the past and it may be a bridge to persuading a player that would otherwise be out of reach to join us.

With so much work to be done in rebuilding, the loan system offers us more flexibility and something we should seek to avail of, as long as we don't find ourselves held to ransom trying to do any permanent deals for successful loanees.

It also works the other way though, I can see a lot of the deadwood leaving on loans only initially, there could be quite a few falling under this category by August 10th.

I remember seeing him play for Lyon . He was decent but struck me as a bit lightweight to play in England.
I fear he could be another Davy Klaasen but at a fraction of the price

Wasnt he loaned to Roma last season? Theyre a decent team, maybe he’s a decent player.
