Summer transfer speculative hopes and dreams

I wonder why we're not after that Ukrainian fella Koplyianka or whatever his name is? Seems mad that nobody has secured his signing. Must have a disgusting attitude or something.
Someone put a link to a report on his transfer dealings, its just absolutely crazy. Guy wants like a £10m sign on bonus, 30% in order to purchase his 3rd party rights, massive wages. Just...mental.

Southampton is doing something right. Selling players expensively and have a better replacement ready. I take my hat off. Everton is far behind and we must learn from Soton.

Man Utd are also set to unveil the £25m signing of Schneiderlin as early as Wednesday - http://t.co/wqGJRKq0Gl #mufc http://t.co/C56TzH6BGI

It's great if you do it right but it's a risky strategy, especially buying unknown players are replacements. You need first class scouts to pull it off.

I am having trouble recalling who played behind Deulofeu when he was here, and worked. I would imagine we would want to play him if available from the get-go after the excitement of the signing. Is there any question over the teaming of him and Coleman down the right side. surely it will reduce the opportunity for Coleman to get forward? would we be better served with a more defensive minded RB and cash in on Seamus now? Perhaps someone can help my senile brain recall Deulofeu's first term with us?

Who are they getting that are better this time around, mate? Sotton are, imo, a well run club, but they've got a model that works with a terrific academy.

.

It was Coleman in his first spell, It was his first full season for us at right back and prob the best season any right back has had for us since...well possibly ever, maybe Gary Stevens though, we won stuff then.

could GEORGE BOYD do a job for us?? he was outstanding at burnley last year. much better than a permanent deal for lennon.

i read a stat last year that boyd had covered the most kilometres on the pitch throughout EUROPE in the season! (could of been half way thro the season , unsure)

either way, he's hard working, will run allday and has a good assist/goal ratio..

edit: i see he is 29.. thought he was a bit younger. still better than mcgeady or lennon

I also thought Boyd was good this year, but I have a hunch you're about to get thrashed for that suggestion,

Not a bad shout mate. Think he would be great alongside Maloney and Cattermole in our midfield.

I think we need a much higher calibre of player, file under McGeady/Naismith.

Chasing shadows the absolute whopper.

Chelsea just bid £6m to get Begovic as a back up, Stoke apparently want "over £8m". That seems low, I thought he'd be worth a lot more than that. Would have loved him here tbh, although I've heard he wasn't great last season.
