Alberth Elis being linked again today after glowing reports from our scouts. Haven't seen him but Martinez has been known for picking up some Honduran gems. Guess he will be loaned straight out possibly to a championship club.

Lots of chat on here yesterday about us getting Sam Byram if Coleman goes to United and then low and behold that [Publication is blacklisted due to spam] site have an article today which they attribute to The Sun saying we want him, it's The Scum subscription service so I can't/won't copy the text or link it up, also personally I think Seamus will stay as United are unlikely to pay the fee we will want and he seems settled here.

I like the look of Byram tbh I think he'll be a cracking premier league right back in the future.

Losing Coleman would be a blow, but getting 20-25 million and then replacing him with Byram for 8 million wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

Big chunk left over to get a better class playmaker and centre half instead of looking in the bargain bin.

8 mil for Byram, nar.

I was using Tyrone Mings as a yardstick. That's the going rate for talented championship players these days unfortunately.

Times are changing and I think some of us are stuck in a bit of a time warp!

Gone are the days when you could pick up lower league talent for a million quid.

Gotta laugh at some on here immediately wanting 30+ million for any of our players, but then scoff at paying 8 million for Scott Dann, a player of the year at a premier league club.

Too unproven, had a good season and several were he was up and down, better value abroad.

Would prefer one of the dutch lads, plus they have better names
