Summer transfer speculative hopes and dreams

So elitist. They finished above us. Why aren't they allowed to push on? Think they whined when we signed Rom? No disgrace and we're we ever in for him. PersonPersPersonally he did ok in Swiss league, barely played for Bayern and couldn't cut it in Serie A. Hardly a pedigree of success. IMHO.
They are "allowed to push on" but it they do get him and we don't get someone better then the board has [Poor language removed] up because no offense to Stoke but if both our clubs go in for someone they shouldn't win and if the board misread the situation thinking they can do better and don't then that's on them.

They [Poor language removed] up last year on not bringing in a left midfielder and it cost us our season and almost Bobby his job.

Pride comes before a fall. No divine right to sign players because of our history.

We don't have a divine right. We are the more attractive option in the marketplace.

If Chelsea come in for one our targets and we don't get them then fair enough but not Stoke.

If the board can't attract either due to financial or other pressures a player who would chose Stoke over us then there's no excuse for that. If we get someone better then brilliant but if we don't it's on them.

Is someone really trying to tell me Shaqiri has signed for Stoke? Like really? And we was interested in him and lost out to Stoke? Pull the other leg surely.

Or maybe we just weren't interested. If we were and he chose Stoke then fair play to him and them. I won't lose sleep over it either way.

You won't lose sleep over Stoke being able to beat us in the transfer market.

If you are a fan I think you should.

Lost out to Stoke? Losing out to Stoke would mean us bidding, having an offer accepted and him then deciding to join Stoke. The fact we haven't even lashed in a bid means we've not lost out to Stoke.

Fair enough then I'm looking forward to us signing someone better than Shaqiri this window otherwise the board have seriously [Poor language removed] up.

It's one or the other that's all I'm saying.

We've probably opted to try and sign Mertens. Is that good enough for you?

No. We need to sign Mertens.

If they try and fail then they've misread the situation and that's them [Poor language removed] up.

btw - I would prefer Shaqiri over Mertens but if both are available I would want both and get rid of McGeady.

The TV money has made everyone in the league stinking rich and we have a lot of older players reaching the end of their contracts. Next summer a lot of players might just not be available for a realistic price after the premier league has hoovered them all up.
