Summer transfer speculative hopes and dreams

Mertens is Inter's priority signing now , if Shaqiri goes to Stoke , who does that leave us with ? Cheryshev ? Nolito ? Janujaz ?
That's the worry.

Januzaj is too young to be relied on. Although I do like him besides he will be used by Utd to get Coleman which I don't want.
Cheryshev probably won't leave R Madrid and if he does will go to Liverpool.
Nolito didn't come here last year and has had a standout season in La Liga. More likely to go to Valencia or A Madrid. Either way no chance of him since he hates the weather and food.

We will probably swap Lennon for Mirallas.

Bad times if true.

Inter wanting to replace Shaqiri is the worry, but hopefully this is true...

@BeNeFoot: Het Laatste Nieuws report Everton have had talks with the agent of Dries Mertens and that the player seems open to a move to Merseyside.

You won't lose sleep over Stoke being able to beat us in the transfer market.

If you are a fan I think you should.

No mate. I am a fan but have real world issues to deal with. Stoke signing a basically unproven player won't result in a loss of my valuable sleep. If it does your I suggest you need a hobby.

Maybe Shaqiri is waiting to see what happens with us and Mertens before committing to Stoke.

I still think we should buy both. Mertens is more a left winger and Shaqiri could be devastating for us as the No10.

Too small , don't think he would cut it in the prem ?

2cm's shorter than Mertens

Edit - And 2cm's shorter than Shaqiri

It's a figure of speech which you first used so please take your patronization elsewhere.

No. We need to sign Mertens.

If they try and fail then they've misread the situation and that's them [Poor language removed] up.

btw - I would prefer Shaqiri over Mertens but if both are available I would want both and get rid of McGeady.

The TV money has made everyone in the league stinking rich and we have a lot of older players reaching the end of their contracts. Next summer a lot of players might just not be available for a realistic price after the premier league has hoovered them all up.
So if we offer the reported 12m and mertens opts to go elsewhere the clubs screwed up? Not buying it. So much more to transfers than that, also one daily mail article doesn't mean we' re actively trying to sign said player

Assuming Mirallas leaves, yeah? Because if not then there's absolutely zero chance of that happening.

That Sven claes from the Belgian press has said inter hasn't even bid for mertens so everyone can calm down. Here's is response to someone on twitter
