Summer transfer speculative hopes and dreams

There's a difference between the rumors being true and actually coming to the point of a deal being done. I think we bid on loads of players that we don't get each window.

Ultimately if the mods are going to be the gate keepers and prevent chat about a particular player until they've been approved then they should be the ones to post the links in the credible thread.

Everything else should stay here.

I do think you beleive a little too much though mate.

I used to as well to be fair.

And yet again you continue to ask me why the media make stuff up.

Sorry mate, im gonna put you on ignore, you are actually lowering my IQ with every post you make.

Bye.
And again you continue to argue a different argument. I asked you specifically why make up the Everton part in this instance.

But the fact that you can't even offer me any kind of counter argument shows you don't have one. We did bid for Shaqiri. You know it and I know it.

Mate, you never actually answered his question you keep spinning it off into "the media", when he is specifically asking about why anybody at SKY Italia would care to make up a rumor about Everton. It isn't like there are loads of Italian Evertonians, or even a load of Evertonians who speak Italian. You can't just call it click bait... It doesn't make sense.

They might have been click-baiting the Inter fans, but why pick us as the club X Shaqiri has been linked to? They could have gone with Liverpool, West Ham, etc.

Takes two to tango. You don't need to keep it going. In this thread I actually stopped that very discussion because it was clear the other person and I both understood each other's arguments and still disagreed.

But when you misrepresent what I'm saying to suit your argument I'm going to respond myself. My argument for Shaqiri wasn't so he could be used as another Pienaar but rather he's a replacement for Ross so Ross can move back. It's a separate issue only made confusing by the need for everyone to call a winger a No 10.

Just respect my opinion and don't argue against me for the sake of arguing. If you are going to argue just argue at least against what I've said. Otherwise it keeps going round in circles.
jesus lad let it will you.... you're like a dog with a bone.

Besides Naismith though, could you realistically see teams coming in for those players. Two are crocked and Barry looks to be happy to half-arse it and collect his wedge here.

IMO they are players we could "afford" to lose.

Only Kone would need to replaced, numbers wise.

I reckon the summer transfer thread from last year was a lot more pyar tosh than this years effort. Sure, there's still a lot of jarg info and sources going about, but toshticity levels are nowhere near this threads immediate predecessor.

I guess that is a credit to GOT members for exercising considered, carefully thought out responses to what are, let's face it, often mere rumours

Pretty much.

I can't see the latest McCarthy rumour being true. They offer us Lennon and Kaboul? Nah, swaps so rarely happen.

Hibbert and Osman will be here forever.
I can see it being true from Spurs side.

If it is true then it all depends on how much money Martinez has been given. If we're on a tight budget this window then we might go for it to use to get quality further forward because we have a lot of top class players where McCarthy plays.

I really hope not it's not. McCarthy has been consistently one our best players and I don't think anyone does his job nearly as well as him. Plus we really should have the money without needing to sell one of our top players.

Sure I have no problem selling McGeady or maybe Naismith but not ones that will weaken us.
