Wouldn't get your hopes up seems like a false article. This newspaper asked Louwagie (technical director of Gent) about the "bid". He said he isn't allowed to leave this year and that there was no bid. He says however he is willing to reconsider for a Tielemans like bid. 25 mil seems quite a gamble...

Thing is, if he wants to stay for the clubs sake then buying clubs aren't going to buy him anyway and have him hostile. next summer he will move with the club's blessing

Yeah it is nice to do that and not leave them in the lurch. One of those 1 more year deals just so they can replace him, not like he won't be in demand next summer.
