My theory for why we haven't heard the Martina news confirmed is that Everton don't want THAT to be their first signing announcement of the summer. They're probably trying to get Sandro done so they can announce that. Just a theory.

I doubt they're really bothered about lids fuming on an internet forum.

Honestly think you're giving Everton's PR department way too much credit there mate, I don't think they've thought that much about it.

Manchester City are set to seal the signing of Benjamin Mendy from Monaco.

The 22-year-old full-back will pen a four-year deal at the Etihad, arriving for a fee of £39.8million.

He will follow former in the footsteps of teammate Bernardo Silva, who has already left Monaco for the Etihad this summer.
