Summer Transfer Window 2017

depressed before the window has started because man city have spent £79m on two players who 80% of the footballing world doesn't even know about ... lovely stuff.

stop crying already, ffs.

It's depressing because we're not even being seriously linked with anyone, considering half our team are still dead weight from Martinez era we drastically need to be getting business done so we can not only improve from this season but also compete competitively in the League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup AND the Europa League

Not to mention Barkley and Lukaku are both as likely to stay as they are to leave.

So it's not crying it's being realistic, we NEED to get [Poor language removed] done sooner rather than later otherwise we'll end up signing another player on loan from a mid table team who can't even get in their first team squad and panic bidding £30mil on an average at best midfielder only to be beaten to signing him by Tottenham on deadline day

mane scored about 13 goals, he was hardly value for money, just the RS infested media blown his performances way out of proportion. Walcott had a better season, for example.

Anyway, they are making the same mistakes under klopp and they keep buying the same sort of players. They're still crap at the back and everyone knows they have one plan and how to play them. Just the rest of the top 6 were too stubborn to play that way.
Couldn't disagree more. As much as it pains me to say it, mane is by far a better footballer than Walcott and was rightly in the Premiership team of the season.

realisation is starting to creep in for alot of people, absolutely nothing has changed, we cant even compete with a team undergoing a transfer ban

it's depressing that chelsea and city had massive investment, ploughed it all in and started building a legacy, whilst we spent decades without a pot to piss in. Then as soon as we get it, all these massive financial deals start coming in meaning that no teams can be bullied financially anymore. This is why i think we'd be better served looked abroad for more of our business, as opposed to even small premier league clubs. It is annoying that all these players are choosing better teams over us, only for them to be sat on their arse all season long, which does kind of go against the posts you've quoted.

We've seen perez, sissoko and now possibly sandro within the last year. within a year or two, all 3 will probably be playing for worse clubs than ourselves.
The only reason we got any "investment" is because the massive finances started rolling in, otherwise Moshiri would still be holding Alishers hand ar Arsenal

Mane scored 13 goals even tho he went to ACON and was injured the last 8 games of the season. Your talking utter wham.

wouldnt say rightly so! they moved his position to fit him into the team! Probably deserved to be in the team, but unfortunately for him there was better strikers than him!

it's the 3rd of june! the papers know jack sh*t, so why are you concerned about not being seriously linked with anyone? We weren't seriously linked with gueye and within a couple of days he was out player. Just because we don't shout all our transfers from the rooftops like man city are, doesn't mean we're not close to signing about 5 players.

Chill, jesus, window doesn't close for another 3 months or so.

There has always been a premium to be paid in players with Premiership experience, as it is such a demanding league to play in. You only have to look at shechenko, Veron and di Maria all world class players who couldn't adapt to the premier league. I agree abroad is the way forward, Pickford has had one season for a relegated team and his club want in excess of 20m for him. In Germany we could get a very good keeper for half that amount. Maybe we should look towards Italy for our defence as traditionally their game is built on their defensive organisation. This is where Steve Walsh needs to earn his wage, to unearth the next mane, mahrez and the like.

Mane is exactly the type of player we need. He's very very good and 34mil in today's market is pretty good for a player of his quality.

ah look EFCcccccccccc has liked another post which compliments something relating to the RS whilst continuing to moan about everything everton.

he wasn't rightly in there, which is what my point was, walcott had similar (probably better) stats, i really don't care enough to look. He was picked as a left midfielder in that TOTY, it's not a barometer of talent, it was a token, feel the need to shoehorn a RS in the team move.

you are talking rubbish mate, we cant even compete with a club undergoing a transfer ban, in a months time we will be back in pre season, there are no discernible signs we are going to sign anyone who is going to allow us to progress, Lukaku, Schneiderlin both expecting big signings they have said so in interview, what happens when Cuca and Dre turn up at FF on 3rd July?
Moshiri said himself "we have a very small window to improve" why no urgency? where is the statement of intent? there isnt any because he is here to deal in real estate not football players, he will walk away with half the Liverpool waterfront owned by him and fat Alisher and us in a half empty stadium which we wont be able to pay for.
