I know, but blips happen. Over the course of the last four seasons he's been one of the best keepers in the league in three of them.

Seemed to refind some form towards the end of the season as well.

I'd be equally happy with Pickford, but I think it's pretty well-known that Koeman really rates Forster and maybe he'd prefer Forster's experience in that position.

Moyes rated Howard too mate, and a keeper blip season can often be something the don't recover from.

For the type of fee they'd be asking it'd be mental for us to prioritize him.

I think Forster would be great for us. Saw a make up a rumour ITK thread on TEF and one of the mods said Forster as first choice incoming, so perhaps the rumours stem from that tonight.

And still had 14 clean sheets I think mate, only behind Lloris, De Gea and Courtois.

And let 48 in over the other 24 games, rather not have a keeper who for two thirds of the games means you need to average 3 goals scored to get a win mate.

Just stats like ofc but stats can be looked at different ways.

And Howard was great for us for many years mate...

Only in his last two seasons - at the age of 35.-37, did his form give.

Forster is 29, and has literally had one 'bad' season - which wasn't too shocking btw - and in fact was only 'a shock' because of how good he had been previous to that.

Anyway, if we get him, I'd be fully behind it. Though equally so I'd be delighted with Pickford.

For the sake of argument mate, let's look over the last three years (so including last term and the two seasons Koeman was at Saints). This is in all comps btw.

2016/17: Apps - 48 / Goals conceded - 55 / Clean Sheets - 19

2015/16: Apps - 18 / Goals conceded - 17 / Clean Sheets - 6

2014/15: Apps - 41 / Goals conceded - 33 / Clean Sheets - 19

His stats in his debut season in the Prem were also impressive.
