Naa. I'm not certain we will end up with Pickford. Williams will be in there with Keane. It'll be a midfield 3 of Schneiderlin sitting, Gueye probing and harassing and Klaassen going box to box and giving us a goal threat from CM. Sigurdsson could be signed to play wide left and I'm not certain Sandro would be the main man upfront either, think we may go for another CF, target man type when Lukaku goes. And I think we'll go for a wide right player, a proper winger or wide forward, a lefty to go out on the right and cut in and be creative and get goals...

Harsh. He made just as many saves that saved goals that would have affected our points total as mistakes. He wasn't Buffon by the end, but too many were too hard on him.
He's still a first choice international GK. "Gash" isn't a word I would use. It's not like he was keeping Vander Sar on the bench.

To be fair I didn't use that word.
He was fine for us at a time when having players like Joseph Yobo played for us. But as football moved on we didn't and sadly for me Howard was just the goalkeeping Yobo. Ok for us at a time. But not anything to move us up.
I'm of course not saying he never had good games for us. Of course he did. Just that I was never ever 100% on him. In fact barely 80% most of the time.
He had a very unorthodox style for a keeper and that irked me and didn't help my opinion either.
I still to this day just want a normal goalkeeper. Essentially I want Nigel Martyn in goal. 24/7/365.
That was probably the worst season I've ever seen from any goalkeeper, including Bravo last year.

And today or yesterday he's said were in talk to sign a defender called Sarr. Didn't give a first name but God knows who that is, could be anyone. Some are speculating it's Malang Sarr of Nice or someone who plays for Wolfsburg?!......

Let's just sign someone better than Joel so we don't have to think about the position like we've had to for the last 3 seasons. What happened to the Pickford rumors? Would love Tadic but his and Koeman's relationship isn't great so not sure wether Koeman would go for him or if he did, Tadic would want to play for him again?!.....
We had a well-drilled Moyes defence shielding him. He was an absolute embarrassment that season, and I think if you looked back at it you'd be reminded of how alarming his performances actually were, he quite literally cost us about 10 points on his own.
Agree we need to sign someone better than Joel. Pickford most certainly is better, objectively. Will he be the one, who knows.
