A few days ago the Italian scout said we were interested in Duvan Zapata. I've only seen him play once but I think he would be good in the PL. He is strong, decent in the air and good at finishing.

Gueye Snides
Barkley Klassen Siggurdson

?

All 3 of them roaming around switching positions behind the striker with two behind being deep, but also having one of the three, more likely to be klassen dropping back to help as a link between the two centre mids and the front three.

You see spurs with dier and wanyama fairly similar, dier being the deeper man, but not your nutorious anchor man in the makele mould, and it works for them.

Lookman, bolasie, niang?, mirallas, lennon and dela? to provide width from the bench or a change in system.

We won't play it that way though mate. It'll be a midfield 3 with Schneiderlin sitting and Klaassen and one from Gueye or Davies ahead of him with a flexible front 3.

Schneiderlin
Klaassen--Gueye
New signing----Sigurdsson
Sandro/new signing

Think that's how the team will look next season. IF we're genuinely in for Niang, even he could be used wide right, got used there a lot at Milan?!....

I am all for a bit of optimism mate.

I think you are being a bit presumptuous on who we will sell, im not sure any of the names suggest will leave bar Barkley if im being honest. I dont see an incentive to sell Lukaku really. So why would you?

I dont think we will make beyond 5 first team additions, or necessarily be that healthy if we did, we have the core of a good team that needs to be supplemented as opposed to rewritten and i wouldnt undervalue what we have or the impact youth players could make. The squad was woefully unbalanced this time last year.

I think its more about the quality and calibre of player we bring in as opposed to number myself.

Im not a greater believer that recruitment or signings drive success if im honest, of course it does to agree but its more about the blend, integration and planning as opposed hes great lets get him and loads like him.

Probably because he wants to go and we will get about 75m for him.

I know what you are saying about the additions though, it is probably both unwise and unhealthy to introduce too many players into the first XI in one go.

From the team which finished the back end of last season though, I will be very surprised if Jags, Barkley, Rom and Mirallas are lining up against Stoke and Valencia definitely will not as he will be gone, that's nearly half the side.
