Assuming we do go ahead and get Sandro, Keane over the line.
We still ideally would need a top class cb, younger backup/competition for Baines, cover/competition for Schneiderlin, someone with genuine creativity, a 'target man' and someone with genuine pace up front.

Goes to show how absolutely massive the job Koeman inherited was really when you break it down like that...

If we keep Rom, they're the heroes needed to complete the Koeman picture. Rom goes, we need more.

--------------Pickford-------------
Coleman--Keane--Williams--Baines
--------------Snides---------------
--------Gana-------Klaassen--------
Sigurdsson-------------------Sandro
----------------Rom-----------------

Subs/Squad: Robles, Davies, Lookman, Funes, DCL, McCarthy, Kenny, Mirallas, Bolasie

Job done.

Agree with all of that except the bit about Schneiderlin. Koeman gave Barry a new contract and obviously still rates him. I think for this season that Koeman sees Barry as the cover for Schneiderlin. I don't agree with the decision as I think we can be exposed by his lack of mobility but I can't see that us getting rid and bringing a holding player in this summer, despite the links to Dendoncker

Been linked with a few who can play that role which is whats making me ponder it, also the fact when Schneiderlin went out with a knock last season it completely disrupted everything about the way we played, think Barry may leave actually, if a decent offer in regards to wages/playing time comes in for him.

We need to recruit a decent forward before Lukaku goes and we are held to ransom.

None of the names being thrown around are good enough yet. We're talking about 80-90-100m of funds to get a decent replacement.

McCarthy isn't good enough ability wise, is injury prone and shown a number of times where his loyalties lie despite this club paying his wages and medical bills - should be out of the door when the first muppet shows up offering money.

I thought that until The Echo ran this a couple of weeks ago

A realistic team and on paper it looks a decent side. Would love Rom to stay, but dembele as an alternative would still give us a potent front line.

Don't think we'd need anything for Schneiderlin mate.

Gana, Besic, Barry, McCarthy, Davies, MS and Klaassen all on the books for midfield.

Even if McCarthy leaves, we'd have more than enough cover there.

Agree with the others.

For the CB, I would really like us to be in for Blind tbh, if there's a sniff of him leaving Utd, as I reckon you kill two birds with one stone there in terms of a 'ball playing' CB and LB cover.

Good shout.

We won't get one player in to replace Lukaku.

Koeman wants 4-5 players to alternate in a front three (with a playmaker - or 2 - also) who can each chip in with 10+ goals per-season.
