For the CB, I would really like us to be in for Blind tbh, if there's a sniff of him leaving Utd, as I reckon you kill two birds with one stone there in terms of a 'ball playing' CB and LB cover.

What's the thinking on keeping money back for the winter window, could we give Jonjo, lookman, CL, Davies, Holgate and Pennington the first team places we (on here) are asking to be filled?

Just say we spend the 100mil we were saying would be available (I don't mean an embargo after Sandro) then any gains from sales are held to see where we are, who's made the grade, who's available. The addition of Morgan paid off last year?

Which is why he'd be perfect for us and the more I think about it tbh mate (I think it was you who'd originally suggested it) I'd be willing to see us pay top fee (£20m) to get him in.

The issue is, his qualities and versatility means he is a shoe-in for pretty much any matchday squad he's fit for while at Utd. Mourinho loves those types of players, and it's why I reckon we're seeing the links to Smalling leaving.

And I reckon Blind would be happy enough to stay at Utd even with a squad role. He knows he'd be guaranteed minutes and there'd still be no chance he'd miss out on the Dutch side for the WC either (if Holland get there like).

I don't want Baines and Williams to be starting any longer if I'm honest.

I'm 50/50 whether Gana needs to be there as well. Him or Sigurdsson could drop to the bench, and it's also a reason why I think Sigurdsson might have slight doubts about joining.

Aye like anything with United it's a case of wait and see who is available - Mourinho is unpredictable in the extreme and you never know who they will suddenly spend 50m on buying either

If the players are available now that we are after we should get them in asap. Plus if we don't get the squad sorted going into the season it could be over by the time we reach the January window. We need a lot of players imo, the likes of barry and jags are getting towards the point they shouldn't really feature all that regularly. We should be looking at reaching a final and a quarter final as well as challenging for the top 4 so we need a squad of numbers and quality.

But isn't that where the players listed come in. The 100mil still has change for a striker, McCarthy more or less covers Keane (Chambers who ever), the lad on a free from Southampton is covered by McGeady going (signing on etc) is there much more to spend out on that won't be like for like?
 
Think there are a few more signings we could make to have a well rounded squad.

Sandro (Should be done)
Keane should be number one target now.
Daley Blind? - Useful utility player - Central defence, left back or holding midfielder.
Get a prospect left back for the future (Suggestions?)
Sigurdsson to replace Barkley should he leave.
And two strikers. One established, Batshuayi would be a good fit.

Being greedy, I'd like another wide player to come in too. Then I think the balance of the squad is looking good. So 8 more signings.

Bench is a bit weak, needs another proper decent striker.
