Honestly believe Sandro will be a better option than Lukaku.

You know those games where you can't tell if Rom is even playing? You'll know Sandro is.

Just need it confirming now, also need options. Not keen on Dembele, playing pub teams week in week out.

Would love Giroud. Dolberg is unreal as well, love to see him at Goodison Park.

Can we please stop going for Gylfi effing Sigurdsson. Sure, he's a decent player but the price quoted is insane, virtually no value for money in this deal. He's a glorified Charlie Adam is what he is.

The prices are irrelevant to the fans and the 'value for money' will only be decided after the season (or his contract) ends if he is the missing piece that gets us in the top 4. I don't know why people are saying they'd be 'willing' to spend x amount on a player, it doesn't affect you at all. If RK thinks buying Gylfi for 40M, or even Shawcross for 70M is the right thing to do, it doesn't matter how much was spent if it works out the way he wants as the extra money from the higher league positions will even it out anyway. It's about how much each player is worth to each team. Gylfi could be a decent part of the team with a heavy fixture list coming up, even if he's not a week in week out starter for us so I'd say he's worth around 20-25M. But to Swansea, (whom I think will go down without him unless they reinvest very wisely), he is worth the 40M if not a lot more. Pogba wasn't worth half of 89M or whatever he cost, but Utd thought he could be the catalyst so they paid what they had to. If they went on to win the League, Europa League and the FA Cup, then some could say it was worth it. It failed obviously but it was the vision of Jose and the trust of his board.

As long as we get most of our deals sorted out before Lukaku is finalized so selling clubs don't take us for mugs with money burning a hole in our pocket, then I couldn't care less what people cost.

I also don't think Lukaku is worth any more than around 50 odd. He scored loads for us, but a lot of his goals would have been scored by almost anyone who can call themselves a premier league striker. There wasn't much he did to set up his own goals like a run or turning someone, plus many other strikers would have had more of an impact off the ball than him. Meaning, they may have moved and not stood pointing at the ground in front of him with open palms for 20 seconds instead of tracking back or being involved when every pass wasn't automatically fed to him. I'll put my neck on the line and say he'll maybe not 'flop', but he'll be average at best if Chelsea take him and Costa leaves, and they'll regret it come Christmas. I get a feeling their scouts have only seen him on MOTD and his super agent has already informed his bank manager of an impending 20m+ cheque. He doesn't work hard enough for their system.

On another thought, IF on the off chance Lukaku stays because Chelski refused to match our valuation of him or don't want to throw in a player or two as makeweights, how do you think RK will treat it? The player said staying with us isn't an option, openly chats wham every time he goes out on international duty so has disrespected the club to a point where he couldn't exactly walk on the pitch and proudly wear our badge again, but could RK hold his nerve and bench him? Or do you think he would swallow his pride because goals are worth more than respect and start him every game again anyway? Interesting

Sorry chipshill, but you're guilty of a certain circular argument fallacy. Furthermore, money is money and Gylfi Sigurdsson is 28 years old by the time the third gameweek rolls around.

He is right about the cost though, as if we would give a hoot what he cost if he got loads of goals and top 4 spot and a trophy, his price would then be deemed irrelevant.

He's also near-useless in open play.

Goals is goals and his dead ball delivery is unreal, but if you get him you absolutely need to get someone who can do the passy stuff the rest of the time. This is my major gripe this summer and I won't stop banging that drum til my fears are assuaged.

Think there are a few more signings we could make to have a well rounded squad.

Sandro (Should be done)
Keane should be number one target now.
Daley Blind? - Useful utility player - Central defence, left back or holding midfielder.
Get a prospect left back for the future (Suggestions?)
Sigurdsson to replace Barkley should he leave.
And two strikers. One established, Batshuayi would be a good fit.

Being greedy, I'd like another wide player to come in too. Then I think the balance of the squad is looking good. So 8 more signings.

Just read an article on skysports (http://www.skysports.com/football/n...wrong-for-portuguese-wonderkid-renato-sanches) about Renato Sanches and how he has struggled since going to Bayern. Would love it if we made a sneaky loan bid for him as he was mega in the Euros last year.
