I would steer well clear of that league. Once upon a time you were almost guaranteed a good player. Now it's on a par with the SPL.

We should be shopping elsewhere not bringing in Dutch tat.

There's been some decent players coming out of the SPL recently to be fair

Van Dijk, Forster, Wanyama and I reckon both Dembele and Tierney will be good at PL Level as well

It's about doing your research at the end of the day. The players are few and far between, but they are there

I know nothing about the Dutch League, but if a scout has been doing extensive research then he/she might have seen what people like you and me saw in Virgil before he made the journey south

Picking out less hyped players who end up being really good is one of the reasons why Walsh is here

Couldnt care less what league they come from.There's good players in every league , even 60 grands worth.
SPL ? Didnt Van Dyke & Wanyama once ply their trade there ?

In both cases they proved themselves over here first.

Yeah only the great strikers like Ibrahimovic, Suarez, Henrik Larsson or Van Nistelrooy or maybe the midfielders of Sneijder, Bergkamp, Van Persie or even an Everton favourite of Pienaar back in his day. Or even some current Tottenham players many on this forum saying we should emulate the success of such as Christian Eriksen, Jan Vertonghen, and Toby Alderweireld.

Guess you wouldn't want anything to do with them either? Nothing to do with the current manager being Dutch though?

He would have been 10-12 Million a year ago, now he'll be probably triple that if we go in for him in the summer.
