Player Valuation: £80m
..who knows, but the indications are he's next on the list if the Keane deal falls through.
Think honestly we are after two centre backs mate, one old school type and one more 'cultured'

he wont get a work permit so we would have to loan him out.
Maybe this is why the loan
Maybe this is why the loan
The lad has one cap for Nigeria and it's unlikely that a fee of 9m euros would be enough to qualify under the "exceptional talent" rules
A work permit was always going to be tricky at this point. A loan makes perfect sense and given we really would like Anderlecht to let us have one of their best players, dealing with them seems to make even more sense
I have no issue with this
Can you imagine us considering paying £8m for a player two years ago and instantly loaning him out?

You're assuming that two injured CMs would be out for the whole season: highly unlikely in the first place - more likely that, worse case scenario, two would be out for only a short time together and that maybe one would be long term....and in any case we would still have Besic to augment the two fully fit CMs for however long the two injured CMs were out (or we could retain Barry for another season and have that insurance, and failing that we would have to do what even elite clubs do in those circumstances: turn to the academy).Basically Davek if we have 2 centre mids out e.g Gana/Schneiderlin we can play Klaassen and Davies but lack a 3rd centre mid and have no one on the bench. Although ive been in the morgs/mouts-goat camp on Besic from day 1 we cant rely on him to be fit either.
Would you be comfortable playing in 2 domestic cups, the Europa and the league where we would be one injury away from having an u23 player on the bench all season or, if we had a suspension or 2 injuries playing an u23 player and having another on the bench....i'm all for it but NOT for an entire season when not a single centre mid in the u23s (other than walsh perhaps) has gotten 'rave reviews' from the people watching the games each week, even he and perhaps Baningime would need to be brought in gradually.
in short, 2 injuries/suspensions and were goosed.
I just see this as something approaching a good enough squad
Pickford/RoblesEven if we sign Sandro, I see were 7 players away from having a squad good enough to compete on 4 fronts...even if we promote one or two young players, 5+ away.
Coleman/Kenny -- ???/Holgate -- ???/Williams -- Baines/???
Klaassen/Davies -- Schneiderlin/??? -- Gana/???
???/Bolasie -- ???/DCL -- Sandro/lookman
EDIT: Oh, and GOAT stop putting sandro on the right, hes either in the centre or on the left
No loan fee and us paying his wages whilst he is their on loan would be a very attractive proposition for Anderlecht - especially as it'd give them a player they wanted but realised they wouldn't realistically be able to get.
Can see that being a very nice incentive for them to open negotiations over another player with us
If Lemos and Sigurdsson come in, with Sandro too we'll have about 10 players lining up over free kicks.
Apparently he has already been granted one. Good deal all round if true.
Legs in the rumour he flew into JLA yesterday perhaps?
