Hope Lemos is not instead of Keane but as well as.
He certainly has the composure on the ball to succeed, I'm worried about his pace though. You'd like to think koeman can spot a defender when he sees one, he didn't do too bad at saints with Soares, Bertrand and VVD.

No, I was merely pointing out that without Lukaku, we probably would not (of) have finished 7th, as you(and others) seem to think. I have (or I've) tried to make your response English whilst I am at it. Sorry to be pedantic, but I was addressing a commonly spouted view that we would have finished 7th without him, which I believe to be untrue.

If EFC had another striker, we may have finished higher, we may have finished lower, any discussion on that is pure speculation and one should not compare speculation to fact.

Apologies, as I was typing on a phone, whilst leaving work, also with one night's sleep in 3 days. As I said, you selected the sentence to suit your agenda. Read my original statement again. I said I don't believe the 'finish 7th without Lukaku goals' statement, I speculated we would finish higher than previous seasons (11th).

Me-"Sans Lukaku we'd of still finished above 11th (although the stat about 7th I don't quite believe). Koeman had a pretty attack minded set up at Saints. When's the last time we had a record like his against the top 4. Bladdered the RS by 6 goals? Surely you have to give him a few years. We had a much inferior manager for 3!- I shudder to think what would of happened the prior season without Lukaku- we'd of possibly been close to relegation seeing how important a record breaking striker is."

You- "The assumption here is that Lukaku contributed to no goals other than the ones he scored. It is complete nonsense to say we would have finished in the same position without him, maybe without the timing of his goals, but not without him."

Be smug and pedantic all you wish- but you misquoted me, and no amount of grammar correction can distract from that x

I'd move for Giroud and Werner. Throw what's left of the Lukaku and Barkley cash at it and then net spend in order to get:

a starting LB - maybe Bertrand
a CB - I wouldn't gripe about Keane, tbf

That could make a real difference to our season.
We haven't spent there cash, we got 127 mil for finishing 7th me made over 100 mil profit last year, we are spending that

I've also heard more than a whisper that it was Martinez who pushed strongly for the Niasse transfer mate

You may well be right mate. I, personally, have not got a clue, and I am not going to fight @davek fights.

But, and I will say just this, hopefully with his understanding as to why. I trust him enough to take him at his word that if he says he heard a whisper, he did.

That may sound too contrived, and maybe even a bit weasel like, but I will not betray the confidence he entrusted me with many years ago, but I will trust his word.

I'll say this abut Koeman: when it was revealed by FDB this week that only a change of mind by Koeman to take the Everton job saved us from employing him I was mightily relieved....I cant stand that 'kin Ajax fraud.
Funny that as you said he was the one you wanted only a few weeks back. Keep up with all the BS you post mate.

I wrote about x-factor players who is a possibility we could add to us to give us this?

Been trying to think of a few options.

Martinez has full control of transfers at Everton as did Moyes before him. It was only until Moshiri arrived that the set up of the club has largely changed regarding transfers.

The fact that dud signed Niasse, Kone, Alcaraz, Mcgeady, Lennon and Cleverly in the space of 2 seasons is there any wonder why we are currently having to have a major rebuild? We can't splash £40 million on 2-3 players as we need 6-7 coming in just to get back on track.

I'd move for Giroud and Werner. Throw what's left of the Lukaku and Barkley cash at it and then net spend in order to get:

a starting LB - maybe Bertrand
a CB - I wouldn't gripe about Keane, tbf

That could make a real difference to our season.
And so the problem arises of replacing Rom. Would giroud leave the bright lights of London to join us? A welcome addition but I doubt he'd want to join us. Werner is in the CL this season, bigger fish than Everton will be circling for his signature. Werner would be a statement signing and seems to fit the bill of the profile of player we are currently after (young and talented). But once again highly doubtful we could entice him here.
