I'm not saying he isn't any good, I just don't think he's significantly better than what we have, and if we're going to spend a decent wedge on a new keeper then he has to be a major step up from Joel. Pickford isn't that IMO

Van Dijk was better than our existing defenders and the one we signed instead of him. It's not even remotely the same

Which realistic keeper signings would be a major step up?

Similar type in many ways, a pure goalscorer. Rather than one who influences games he doesn't net in.

If Rom goes I'd rather we went for 2 strikers who would guarantee you 10 each a season than try for one to replace the 20 goals by themselves. I don't know enough about who's available but if we got Benteke and Deeney for example you'd like to think they'd get at least ten each and you wouldn't be relying on one striker going through the whole season injury free.

Very excited to see who we go for in the summer. Most definitely is naked or break, I rate Koeman highly but I'm still on the fence with Walsh tbh, obviously he has scouted some good players but his summer dealings at Leicester were poor and the ones at us have been hit and miss.

If Rom goes I would like Benteke tbh. Think under a manager who doesn't play ultra defensive football like Alladyce/Pardew etc. He'll do well in a good system. Lacazette would be first choice but doubt we could attract him unless none of the top teams show an interest and we offer a big wedge.
