Schmeichel, Siggy, Keane, Robertson and Perez would be a solid start.

I'd love to sign VVD, Mata and Lacazette instead but simply don't think any of those could happen. Last thing i want is to see the club making a desperation offer for Sissoko on deadline day cause our primary "dream" candidates don't pan out.....

The 5 listed above though are plausible and would all make us better/deeper. Let's get some off of that list (or similar) done early - particularly in the spine - and then let the chips fall where they may.

Yeah I'm with you re Robertson. Also the fact that he's Scottish means we'd have a better chance of holding onto him. I mean if Coleman was English we'd have had no chance of keeping him this long. Don't want to judge Shaw though, there's clearly talent there and some players (Tom Rogic at Celtic for instance) simply aren't able to reach the same level of fitness as their team-mates. Who knows. I'd gamble on Shaw if Robertson signed for Arsenal or the RS or someone else.
 

If Keane, Schmeichel and Kolasinac rumours come true, that would be a perfect start of the summer. Kolasinac is capable playing as left back, left wing back, left midfielder, centre back or even defensive midfielder. Same as Besic he is Bosnian-German, could be interested to play with a friend from his NT.

GK: Schmeichel/Joel/Stek
RB: Coleman/Holgate
RCB: Keane/Williams
LCB: Jagielka/Funes Mori
LB: Kolasinac/Baines

Swap Jags or RFM for another top CB and our defence would be sound.

I know and I like him as a keeper but Pickford would probably cost similar, is already producing outstanding displays and would be our keeper for the next 10 years. Just a better option imo but im not a manager.

It looks like we should see Keane, Schmeichel and by all accounts Rooney through the door early on in the summer.

Not sure about that, he's been out injured for a while and has notched some good goals this season.

I understand from an earlier post he's Norwegian and tosh - pretty much like most people at the RS tonight...

and there was many times a massive gaping hole in his position v united when he overcommited. He was playing the same side as mirallas who is obviously not going to be filling in his gap. He'll be a very good centre back in time, but he's a square peg atm there. We probably do need to buy another right back now this summer.

Lads please reason with me. We've dreamed of a striker like Lukaku for 25 years and instead of wanting to build a team around him you think we can sell him and buy 2 of 3 bargain FIFA 17 specials and we will improve.

You're naming players in foreign leagues as an internet nerd who bases this on the odd foreign game on TV, them cringey WELCOME TO NEWCASTLE YouTube scouting videos and computer games.

I like you a lot as fellow Evertonians. I'm sorry for goading you in a tedious manner but I thought it's obviously satirical. This Transfer obsessing months outside of the window has to stop though. There's a season going on and actual Everton players to invest your time in rather than pretending your showcasing for Steve Walsh.

Can I ask reasonably to swerve transfer gossip stuff until the last game of the season? Then promise I'll leave this thread alone until September.
