Got used to the idea of Giroud, but now Rooney is being heavily touted I'm not sure I like the idea of recruiting two strikers who are in to their 30's.

Rather go for Giroud as the experienced front man then get another youngster like Dembele.

I have said this a number of times. I think Rooney , if signed, will be a very good signing.

He has been an outcast at Utd under Mourinho, but then so was Schneiderlin. However, he has huge experience, a great football brain, is a real team player and most important of all is a winner.

I saw bits of the games that he played at the end of last season and thought he did well for a player that had been ignored and played very little for months.

I have never believed that a deal could be made to happen, but that was for financial reasons. I would welcome him back.
