You're confusing big and good. He's definitely a big signing, he's still the United and England captain and is one of the biggest names in world football. He isn't good though, I'll give you that.

I have just decided I don't want him that is all. We seem to have signed players with pace and he has none at all any more and United always looked worse with him in the side in the last few years which is some effort considering how bad they have been anyway.

Yeh possibly, though I think of the two rumoured we'd be more likely to move for King than Gray, which I'd be happy with.

That being said, I reckon there's plenty of targets for each role, and it's a case of seeing what the situation is with Lukaku - I'm sure we've set contingencies in place either way.

With so many being linked I think he is off, I would be delighted to be wrong and will hold out hope he will stay until he does go but the fact we seem to be after a couple more strikers after supposedly already sorting Sandro out it means he is off to Chelski.

That is that then, if we are still after Gylfi then Barkley is long gone.

If (IF) it's Rooney, then I think he'll be a very useful addition.

And if he does come back, it will only be on our terms.

There's better players out there that we should be prioritising and evidently already have (hence getting these deals over the line).

As a bonus, Rooney would be just fine.

Like it was a massive let down when we signed Andy Gray all those years ago. The thing to remember being that the sum is better than the individual parts .... I suspect that if he does come then there is a specific role they want him for.

Whether we like individual signings or not, this is the most dominant everton I have seen in the transfer market in my life.

We'll have to shoehorn him in because he will be our biggest earner. Sigurdsson is much the better option.
