Whilst I am wildly extatic about this transfer window, I do wonder if signing loads of players in one window ever works?
I suspect that it is hard to finesse the requirements for different positions because you haven't seen them play together so it's harder to judge?

Surely we can't be looking at both Rooney and Giroud.
Rooney I understand, but with the Lukaku fee we are imminently receiving, we must surely be targeting better than Giroud?

Giroud had a better strike rate/minute than Lukaku did last season. Just saying.

Looks like Lukaku to United now in some sort of deal where we get Rooney in exchange. Why would we do that when virtually any other player in the United team would be better for us than Rooney.

An amazing set of transfers for us seems to be coming to an abrupt and sad end. Hopefully it falls though over Rooney wage demands.​

Agreed. Giroud (my preference) or Rooney. Not both.

Won't be a swap deal when we can get 100 million for one it doesn't make any business sense

That would be the logical move. £100m or whatever we get for Lukaku should be reinvested towards a top striker.
