BREAKING NEWS

Brentford star Jota will not play in their friendly against Aldershot tonight with a bid expected imminently from a Premier League club, Sky Sports News HQ understands.

The Spaniard held a meeting with head coach Dean Smith and Bees officials on Thursday in which it was collectively agreed he should not take part in the game.

Sky sources understand Huddersfield, Everton, West Ham and Newcastle have all shown interest in the 25-year-old - and he would be available for around £8m.

West Ham mate.

Donker is back!

Boss!!

“I’m very happy to be back,” Donkor said.

“I’m looking forward to pre-season to show my teammates and the fans that it was the right decision for the Club to re-sign me. I’m very proud to be here and I want to show my best performances.

“I started very well here last season but the ankle injury was a big disappointment. I was out for about eight weeks and I had to go back to Germany and do all my treatment. But I got fit again quickly and now I’m feeling better than before. I’m feeling at 100 per cent.

"Training so far has been very good - and tough! After six weeks I hadn’t played football, but I was very happy to be back out on the pitch. David Unsworth is a great guy and I enjoy training with him. He has a good style of coaching. “I love it here and English football is perfect for me. I’m very happy to be back."

Good spot, haven't seen much of him but looked him up a while back when we were linked and on paper he's a good player

prefer Stones tbh

You don't seem a very tolerant chap Thomas
It's a bit like this as i see it. Stones is a better player, but Keane is a better defender. Right now we need a defender more, so i am happy to have Keane.

Conversely, for example, Rom is a better goal scorer, but Giroud is (in my opinion) a better player. For what Ronny wants to build one might argue that Giroud is a better fit right now.
