I am on the record as being a fan of Gylfi. That said, being a fan and wanting us to spend 35M plus on him are different stories.
I actually like Lanzini. More importantly, with the other pieces coming in, i think he could really offer us something, plus there is what he may potentially grow into (grow is perhaps a poor word choice - lad is vertically challenged).
Not to mention fans of the Mutant Club would absolutely lose their skulls.

Lanzini needs too much time on the ball, Sigurdsson does his best work in the areas where there is very little time and space.

If you're going to have an exotic name, an awful haircut and sleeve tattoos at least be more than a "scores one worldie a season and does nothing else" player.
We need pace and someone to take teams on. Otherwise we will struggle against teams that sit deep.
I think Sigurdsson is a player that performs well in a lower league team. Lanzini would do better for a top team.
Plus Lanzini is still young and will improve.

Lanzini is talented but inconsistent. Siguardsson as well as being a good player is usually amongst swansea's best players week in week out.
