Mahrez has made it clear he wants CL and also told Leicester he wants out, key differences between him and Ciggy. He will go but I'm not convinced he will crack it in a top side.

He does want out and originally said for CL but apparently his stance as changed a little and there isn't as much emphasis on CL being the be all or end all now. He's apparently told Leicester he wants a "new challenge"....

I'd honestly take Mahrez, and at £30m in this day an age is pretty decent. No he didn't live upto his form of that championship winning season but who at Leicester did? But he's still a very good player and I personally think we need that kind of right sided player in our team to give us that balance when going forward and attacking.

You thinking Mahrez, Rooney, Gylfi behind Sandro? Might be interesting.
Been thinking about this, everyone has been banging on about a target man and physical presence (me included). Then I look at city, they have no physical presence in the final third. Jesus, aguero, sterling, de Bryne and both silva's. Yet look at the amount of goals they score. I'm not suggesting getting siguardsson and mahrez will make us as productive as city, but we can adopt a similar style to them. 30m for mahrez or 25m for giroud is a no brainier for me.

Not exactly sure why you would say that, I'm certain he would jump at the chance to play for us.

Not that I want him, he has had one decent season with Leicester where Drinkwater and Allbrighton looked like worldies.
I'm sorry the only comparison you make between mahrez and drinkwater and albrighton is that they have played for Leicester. Mahrez is a significant class above those two, but possibly also in attitude as well.

Any player can be made to look good when a team is playing well, the top players are the ones who look good when a team is playing not so well.

Let's face it, you are right that whole Leicester team played out of their skin for the whole season they won the league. Mahrez wasn't nowhere near as effective as that last season, but still managed 12 goals and 5 assists in the season. He was still one of Leicester's better players.

I just think he isn't what Koeman wants. Walsh would probably bring him back in a heartbeat

...Mahrez seems moody and whilst that is ok when you're picking him up for a bargain it's not something you want to be paying big bucks for. I think he was left out at times by Leicester last season when they needed points. Sigurdsson is different gravy and I wouldn't compare them given the positions they play.
