And he's the missing peice for them to win the league lol lol lol rinse and repeat!

I still think we have a few surprise signings we don't know of yet. Not all players come in who was on the clubs radar as such

Think Sigurdsson and Giroud are the only two ones linked heavily that we will be 100% after and should hopefully get in.

left back, centre back and probably another centre mid wouldn't shock me if they came out of leftfield

I would say as a guess sigurdsson and giroud will be the big names as such we want then the others left after we sign unheard of mate!

IF i was taking a punt, I'd take a stab at us going for a top quality young left back as Baines understudy/eventual replacement.

City are signing Mendy, the rs brought in Robertson, Arsenal signed Kolasanic, Chelsea are already set at that position as are Spurs, so only United who maybe do need one. Think we may be sitting tight see who they all go for and then go for one ourselves.

Koeman has bought from Celtic before in both Wanyama, VVD and Forster to good effect (or if not bought them all at least worked well with all 3), Tierney is highly touted and unlikely to be available till after they play their CL qualifier - IF all the other teams have brought in a young left back already, then it will pretty much give us a free run at him - as no one below us would be able to compete for him.

Least thats my hope.

We do need cover at left back mate but do you think he will see that as a priority? As you say it will be the signings or big signings we want first then cover squad fillers after. As we speak west brom have had a 10 mill bid rejected for Gibbs.

Judging by Baines form over the last season or two and his shocking displays in pre season already I'd say he's not far off needing to be replace

Priority before the season starts will 100% be a cf and creative type, Giroud and Sigurdsson obviously the focus for these and both 'should' be obtainable, but won't be simple deals either to get over the line.

After that it's maybe another cb, a long term replacement for Baines and then who knows really

Tierney would i guess be gettable for 15m or so with a nice sell on for Celtic involved as well, long term wise a very very good investment, when you consider utter dross like Moreno who has failed is going for 12m+

Be shocked though if we did anything before the season starts at left back, will be a late deal if we do

think maybe cb is the same as well, we are sitting tight on getting another in - lord knows we need one quality cb in addition right now, but everyone else is snififing around and signing them too, so maybe rather than get involved we are waiting and seeing who is available afterwards, much as we waited to move on Keane until United filled there position.

Strategy wise not a bad idea, if you have several players rated on a similar level so arent arsed which one

Part of me thinks we where hoping that the rs would move on and bring in another cb and give us a clear shot at VVD - which looks likely not to be the case anymore

Yearh get sigurddson in and giroud then look from there. We do need cover for several positions aswell as competition. I don't think we will go for vvd for the reason being he will use jags/Williams one of them along side keane. He's not going to spend 60 mill plus and leave out jags or Williams ( that's my opinion ) even tho he's better than both

Tierney is the one we should targeting. Don't know about understudy though, he is good enough to go straight in the team.
