- Sky Sports say Osmanlispor midfielder, Badou N'Diaye, is in talks with a West Ham following interest from Everton.

- The Evening Standard report Arsenal are keeping tabs on Everton's Ross Barkley.

- The Daily Mail says Everton's summer spending spree is set to continue with a bid for Sheffield United's young midfielder, David Brooks.

- To The Lane and Back Weblog suggest Everton want Spurs misfit Moussa Sissoko on loan but Daniel Levy is looking to sell the player on a permanent deal.

- According to L'Equipe, PSG have made midfielder Blaise Matuidi available for £18m and Everton are seriously interested.

- The Liverpool Echo report Everton have agreed terms with young Newcastle defender, Lewis Gibson, and hope to fend off interest from Spurs.

Why would you want us to sign a player whose known weaknesses are being a crap tackler and awful in the air mate, when that's exactly what you've long criticised Baines for?

Robertson is a mile below both Tierney and Chilwell in ability and in potential, so who knows maybe by the end of the summer we will have one of those in?

Brooks is an odd one virtually no first team experience. Do we have the same lower league scout who got Stones etc?

...I suspect he'll be well known to our scouting network from playing for the Manchester City academy for many years and he was high profile in the U20 tournament this summer.

In absolutely every single category statistically, offensive, defensive, passing, he was below Baines in last season.

The attacking ones maybe you can go on about the quality around him etc, but defensively that's shocking when you consider how often Hull where under the cosh for at points.

It's not over yet mate but please do not overhype Robertson he'll rot there and be sold on. Typical RS moneyball signing. Honestly not worth fretting about.

As for Baines, no idea why he nor Williams are being written off for this forthcoming season, honestly baffles me as I think they will both offer a lot this season especially with a much improved midfield infront of them. Baines especially as he's not had anyone on his wavelength since peanuts left us

You think Baines is a better bet than Robertson at this stage of their careers? Pffft! You cant have watched either last season then.

Baines is an utter liability now. It's sentiment that's fastening him onto a starting spot. I bet he cant believe his luck he's still here in that role when just two seasons or so ago he couldn't hold down his place.

Handy rule of thumb with our ambitions: if Baines starts games we've accepted the mediocre status allotted to us.

He actually isn't very good mate, he's young (23 i think) and stood out at times because the quality in that Hull side was so awful that any half decent player would do.

He's basically signed as a warm body for the rs bench to replace Moreno when they sell him

as a Baines back up - yeah he'd be ok, as an eventual replacement - nope we should aim miles higher than he is

Chillwell has big potential, I'll be gutted if we don't go in for him and he ends up going to one of the big boys eventually. Would be a fantastic signing at LB for us.
