Summer Transfer Window 2017

Linked with yard dog James Collins from West Ham.
Now that really is the strangest, most horrible link this window.

It must be horrible for Koeman and Walsh at the moment, we finally have cash and every single club is demanding silly money for everyone, the reply to each enquiry must be along the lines of "what's that? You'd like to buy Dembele, no worries, that'll be £700 million."

Honestly no idea anymore. So far this summer we've had heavy links then signings. Aside Giroud we've had nothing except mini links.

True.

For me, seeing Stones, Deulofeu, Lukaku and now Barkley depart has been pretty upsetting/disappointing as it seems like we've actually brought in all the 'supporting cast' and yet got rid of the stars.

The rumoured Giroud signing to me would feel like the Williams signing last season. We lose a 'potentially' world class player who could have been immense next to Keane and in front of Pickford and replace him with an ageing player who could deliver in the short term. Now, a year later we can see that we need a new centre back to play alongside Keane and in front of Pickford. If we had Stones it would be ideal.

Sigurdsson to replace 'boyhood blue' (as we all thought) Barkley just doesn't cut it for me either. He would have been ideal with Rooney in working in tandem with Barkley to support Lukaku...but we lost him as well. So now we have the players who could have done very well in supporting Barkley and Lukaku but they've gone.

The team now looks like we've covered every position which was lacking when we had those 4 players but we haven't really replaced them.

Ronk has said he wants a centre half, a centre forward and Glyf. Do it.

Was it 3 or 4 more? I thought the question immediately followed the confirmed interest in Siggy. RK said replacement for Mori , replacement for Rom, then he said and maybe 1 more (GK). I was interpreting it to mean 3 definite players. Sig, Striker, LCB and "possibly" one more (3rd GK). I could very well be wrong just I came away thinking 3 more + Siggy.

But we couldn't not lose those players so what was the clubs alternative? We've done what we had to do.

So who do we reckon for centre half? not really seen anything of lemos to make a judgement and he seems the only link that's been consistent all summer. For certain don't want Gibson. Seems too similar to Keane, someone who can play out from the back with pace would be more ideal.
