I wouldn't rule it out mate. Left sided CB that can cover at LB and comfortable in a 3. Koeman knows him well from his Feyenoord days and saw last season at Stoke he could handle the prem. And apparently he's available for around £10m...

i really hope not, if we're buying a centre back it should be to improve the first 11, another average at best player added to squad isnt going to kick us on. we have too many as it is.

Koeman is only going for another CB cos Mori is out injured so that tells you all you need to know of the type of player he's after. I think Koeman is actually happy to have Williams partner Keane at the back for us. Defence wasn't of massive importance to Koeman, although he did want a CB and a GK which we've got but in attack, the final third, was the priority for Koeman this summer. He wanted/wants more goals, more "productivity" as he says as he thinks the team more than anything last season lacked a cutting edge.

Now we've got Pickford & Keane I think Koeman is more than happy with what he's got at the back...
 
We really do need another CB, ideally even better than Keane but will have to be better than Williams and Mori.

We can probably make do with Baines at left back until next year and prioritise a new left back next summer.

Sigurdsson still seemingly the main target. As for a forward, either it's gone quiet because we are still looking at targets or there is still work being done on one, maybe Giroud.
 

Am I reading this right, he's saying we're interested in Sigurdsson (obviously) and are looking for cover now Mori is out, we want a striker with Lukaku gone and maybe one more. So 3-4 more players before the window closes?!
Could it be Sigurdsson, a left sided CB, striker and a GK to possibly replace Joel IF he goes or a player for another position?

Depending on how much more money were prepared to spend, I'd like to see us look at getting a wide right option in. I just think we're a bit light out there still and all the wide options we currently have, and factor Rooney and Sigurdsson IF we get him can play wide, all play better from the left. Maybe we could do with a better option for wide right to balance the squad out.
