Winston Reid is a good defender, I would happily have him here. That said he's been a regular sick note for the last while.
As for Chris Wood, I'd have question marks about his ability in the Premier League let alone in the top 6/7.
Both would be a gamble.
That's as a somewhat biased Kiwi.

...a round up of rumours for this Sunday morning;

- According to the Daily Mirror, Everton are ramping up their search for a striker. They report this week could be make or break in respect of their chase for Olivier Giroud.

- The Daily Mail says West Ham's Winston Reid is the latest defender to be linked to Everton. The New Zealander recently extended his contract with the Hammers until 2021 but the Toffee's are considering a £9m bid.

- The Sunday Express suggests Ross Barkley is Pochettino's no1 summer target for Spurs and he could get the Everton midfielder for between £25m-£30m. The Mirror says Manchester City and Spurs are among 6 clubs interested in a cut-price deal for Barkley.

- Mirror reporter, John Richardson, says Watford manager Marco Silva is keen on Everton winger Aaron Lennon. Watford believe they can get the player for a relatively small fee because of his contract situation.

- 4th Official continue to link Everton and other clubs with Nice midfielder, Jean-Michael Seri. The same outlet suggest Burnley want Everton striker Oumar Niasse but Newcastle remain favourites to sign the player.

- According to The Mirror, Everton are hoping to finally clinch the signature of Gylfi Sigurdsson from Swansea. The Toffee's are ready to throw 19 year old Calum Connolly into the mix to close the deal.

- The Daily Mail say Spurs have identified Everton's Phil Jagielka as somebody who can provide them with defensive cover. Spurs remain the only Premiership team to not sign a player in this transfer window.

Agree here, unfortunately them across the park are the same, Mane, Salah etc...
.

Who's the etc? Serious question.

Coutinho? No
Lallana? No
Firming? No
Henderson? No
Milner? No
Moreno? Yes but he's literally one of the worst players in the league.
Wijnaldum? No

Spurs have identified Jags as defensive cover. That is funnier than being linked to Collins... Lmao.
Dunno Winston Reid made me laugh over my crunchy nut if I'm honest! Between £9mil and £15mil ...that's got to be joke of the day!

Giroud - Yes please.

Reid - no thanks - smells like just papers fishing for names given they know Koeman wants another centre back - so they are throwing out cheap backup options.

Barkley - nope not to spurs, they are arguably the most vulnerable team in the top 4 to aim for this season for us, can't be giving them someone who on his day can win them points.
Lennon to Watford - good for us, the player and for Watford, hope it happens/

Seri - absolutely no idea about him, but looks like a few of the top 6 have him as their second option as a transfer target.

Sigurdsson - yes please, hopefully Connolly is either a loan or with some buy back attached should he develop, if any truth at all to that.

Jagielka - would let him go anywhere as he is washed up and gives us the illusion of having depth and cover which he doesn't provide in reality.
