I'm not so much concerned with the fact that we haven't signed a striker yet, there are loads of weeks left after all, but more concerned that there really isn't a huge selection to choose from that are going to help us get where we want

Plenty of strikers around still left just about having the money for them

..I don't. I've only seen the YouTube stuff. He's only 21 and 6ft 1in, looks physically imposing and an out and out defender but not sure about his pace. Uruguayan but yet to play for the full international team. I'm sure others have watched and I think a few on here are keen.

Las palmas were an extremely open team last season. Involved in a lot of high scoring games and conceded a bucket load of goals. Never been personally that impressed. He was more renowned for coming forward than defending which is not what I look for in my centre halves.

No brainer at that price :drunk: @Armel

UNITED IN FOR DENDONCKER?

Manchester United will have to pay up to £31m if they want to tempt Anderlecht to sell Leander Dendoncker, according to the Daily Star on Sunday.

The 22-year-old Belgian scored against United in the quarter-final of the Europa League last season, and Anderlecht sporting director Herman van Holsbeeck has said they could sell Dendoncker for around £30m.

He told Het Belang van Limburg: “We want to cherish him, but if a club is willing to pay between €25m and €35m, we have a problem.”

@Eggs @bluestevon

He's good on the ball for sure but I'm not massively convinced defensively but it's really hard to judge with the way Las Palmas play. I'd say it would be a pretty big risk but kind of the Van Dijk from Celtic risk? Don't think he'd get as good as him defensively though.

...knowing that Steve Walsh is a stats man makes me think the numbers add up (interceptions, blocks etc) if the interest is genuine. At 21 there is something to work on and I get the comparison with Van Dijk.
