Still 3/4? players to get close even slightly
 
Despite the decent early summer business, we are still short a left sided proven centre half, a 20 goal a season striker & a rapid winger with goals in the locker, if we are to seriously compete with the top six.

I'd also argue we need another left back as a matter of urgency. If there is no pace across the front four then that focus shifts to the full backs & Baines will never beat a man.

There is much work to be done in this window still.

If you mean the glass ceiling that is our away form I agree. Our home form was superb though so we just need to start winning away games and we will be in the mix. We've obviously lost Lukakus goals so we still need another striker but I certainly don't see a glass ceiling. The top 6/7 could end up in any order imo

We're not going to, are we? Being realistic you can't really expect us to break up the top 6 in our first real season of change and progress can you? Imo it's all about cementing that 7th place even more and moving closer towards the top 6. Next season we might be in a better position to break that glass ceiling, because all glass eventually breaks if the pressure is high enough;)

Gut feeling is we won't get a winger and Koeman will give that slot to Lookman and DCL. He has Mirallas and Bolasie to come back and we also have Lennon still and he knows he can play various others wide who will cut in if he has to.

Seventh won't be a success this season. Not at all. I'm basing this on us signing Sigurdsson and a quality striker by the way.
