think spurs and arsenal will still have better squads on paper myself, and probably united too, but they're a bit stocked in certain positions and weak in others so not a great balance. But ours would probably have that better base to it, imo. But we'll take a long time to gel properly.

But we will sign a CB regardless.

Martina is awful at RB and a word hasn't been invented to describe how terrible this one footed (right) joke of a player will be at LB.
Barry would need an oxygen cylinder to play at full back and turns slower than tubby Williams so will be done for pace by every team bar west brom and stoke.
Connolly is off to Swansea.
Garbutt could maybe play but I'm praying Baines stays fit (no matter what @davek says).

Yeah, I'm the least itk person on GOT! Seems a weird story to make up, doubt many people outside of Liverpool and Wigan know who the lad is.

I know the Reid rumour is a load of cobblers but him and Tierney coming in for say £20-25 million combined would be excellent additions at the back for us.

The problem with only bringing in one player who can cover both positions is we are goosed if both Baines and one of Keane/Williams are out at the same time which could very well be possible when we have Europe to contend with. Our defence was shot with injury towards the end of last season we need numbers.

Would've feared for our PL future last year if Martinez had still been in charge. We were heading in only one direction under him and I dread to think about our final destination
