Summer Transfer Window 2017

I thought Keane looked a very good player today and has done for most games I have seen him in. Regarding Lukaku rolling him today, I saw Jagielka get done a few times the season Sheffield United went down and he developed into the finest centre half we have had in the Prem era. His partner signed from lower league Wolves was class too.

Have to agree with this.

Siggurdson is a very good player.
But we need better than that to muscle in on Chelsea, Spurs and City.

Unfortunately if him/Rooney/Hart are the level our fans want us to aim for in the summer then we will only finish around 7th. (For what it is worth i don't think any of those players will end up here in the summer)

Sadly I think Rooney will.
I am just about ok with that as long as we keep Rom and Ross and add another top forward.

He'd be first choice 100% not cover....hes class, players bounce off him.

Why the attraction to rooney, he's goosed.

Im a rooney fan mate, think he will be good for us and us for him. Which one would you have, silva or lacazette ?

When thinking about what happens in summer, I am not worried at all. We are likely going to sell players that we don't have any use for like McCarthy, Funes Mori, Grant, Henen, Lennon, McGeady, Cleverley, Deulofeu, Niasse, Garbutt for something like 75 million. Add in extra money we are going to get from PL TV rights, Europa League and sponsorship money - that's another 75 millon we can use on new players. Even if Moshiri does not give us any extra penny, I expect us to spend around 150 million. And well, even if the worst case scenario happens and we have to sell both Lukaku and Barkley, then we should get around 90 million for Rom and 40 for Ross. If this the worst case scenario happens, we will have a budget of around 250 million to spend on our new starting line-up and a lot of space to take on big wages of new players. Not worried at all.

And Michael Keane is worth how much? He's been absolutely rinsed by Lukaku all day

Seeing Lukaku was being marked by Ben Mee for most of the match he did exceptionally well to rinse Keane all day. Ben Mee is given the job of marking strong/robust players as he is the tougher of the two who relishes the challenge. Most Burnley fans would be more upset at losing Mee than Keane. He goes unnoticed but keeps winning the player of the year awards and his stats are slightly better than Keane's.

lol Love this thread.

It's being reported we are trying to sign Sigurdsson. So we sell Barkley because he won't sign a £100,000 a week contract, then sign Sigurdsson for £140,000 a week? That seems odd?

Maybe because the papers have absolutely no clue whatsoever what contracts we have offered Barkley - or would offer Sigurdsson mate.

Right now everything coming out is just pure clickbait
