Summer Transfer Window 2017

As it stands now I feel underwhelmed at this stage of the window. ...

Yes we are moving in the right direction and yes we have made good safe bet signings but not a signing yet that has made me say "wow"

Losing Lukaku and Barks is right for the club but we are much weaker in those core areas.

Pace is a obvious need, we have a midfield of genuine neat and tidy , really effective possession - ball winners but none if creativity

I trust RK and SW but looking at the top 7 makes me certain that will not even get near the top 4 and if we have sustained runs in cups we may struggle to cement 7th

Let's pray the window has a few good surproses. .
Yep... love surproses me.

I don't really understand why everyone in here views the squad so negatively. We lost Lukaku and added a bunch to a decent enough team and we sit here acting like it's a disaster waiting to happen.

If any other club had lost their 2 'best' players in one window people would call it a disaster of a window.

Time for people to face some facts really, we have or will sell 2 of the most highly rated young players in the prem and replaced them with either a washed up Rooney or players from below us in the league.

Hardly great is it?

Lukaku is a big loss. Ross is not one of our best players. He was our best creator but he wasn't so good that he can't be replaced and Gylfi is better so who cares that he's from a worse team. Meanwhile we've brought in lots of talent in other areas. For me the only real complaint is only Sandro replaces Rom but if that's sorted than I'd say yes it is great

who i a realistic wow signing? we have signed ajaxs best player, malagas best player, sunderlands, Burnleys and on the verge of swanseas. until we get in the elite group we can only realistically sign the best players from the teams below and around us too bridge the gap. giroud would be a coup. like schneiderlin.

We need 2 rapid full backs like Koemi had at saints (clyne and Bertrand) in order to play with this current set of players, I just hope Baines rediscovers his attacking brain and cuco improves.

We've already signed Burnley's best player mate

neither Bertrand or Clyne are 'rapid'.

What they do have is bundles of energy.

Coleman to come back, but I'd definitely be hoping Kenny gets put in there really in the mean time.

And on Baines, it's clear he needs a partner.

People seem to forget Baines never has been *that* quick. He hasn't lost any of his attacking brain, he still gets into those positions, but too often he's forced to check back as he has nobody to link up with.

Agree with this baines always looks forward but never has a pass to link up with.

i know meant to say we had. sorry havent had much sleep.

haha it's fine!

I agree with your point.

Holes to fill. But confident we will do. It seems that as soon as the clock ticked over to August 1st the other day, people started losing their heads again.

Suddenly we're the worst team on the planet and have only spent the Lukaku money etc etc when in reality that literally doesn't mean a thing (plus our U23s have also spent more than several PL clubs have on their 1st-team squads this summer).

People are strange.
