Summer Transfer Window 2017

The target for them was CL footy this season. They got it. That is not being "derailed" is it?
There was Kopites everywhere going on about their title challenge and then in Jan the wheels fell off, as their squad wasn't deep enough, and that was without CL football stretching them yet further. Their second string wasn't good enough and they've done nothing to bolster that squad this window.

He certainly is.

As much as I hate to admit it, he's one of the best playmakers in the league and certainly capable of stepping up

Tend to agree, on his day he is magical

Doubt Liverpool will be forced to sell him this summer, they can probably stand firm as Leipzig have done with them, but if Barca have their sights set on him, they've probably only got him for another year (fortunately).

CF- Olivier Giroud
LW- Gylfi Siggurdson
LCB- Stefan de Vrij

Get them to sign on the line which is dotted....

If Baines plays poorly; Coleman or Bolasie fail to make the full recovery we address LB, RB & RW over the next two windows. In the mean time the young boys get a few run outs. i.e. Kenny, Lookman, Holgate, Calvert-Lewin.

Perhaps, Galloway develops while getting matches in with Sunderland, and becomes the answer for us in that LB role.

IF Gylfi materializes, can Mirallas fill in at RW during Bolasie's recovery? Meaning, can he fill that role in Koeman's system with his current skill sets? I often worry that my blue-tinted goggles are at their worst when concerning Mirallas. Were he on any other squad I'm not sure I'd rate him as I do.

(Note. I don't envision Sandro in the RW role, He is/should be our CF).

Got my grandson to try that exact scenario on that PlayStation thingy
He said we won the league with it.
Now to transfer that to the real world

Well I hope the "wheels fall off" us in similar fashion this season then.

If any other club had lost their 2 'best' players in one window people would call it a disaster of a window.

Time for people to face some facts really, we have or will sell 2 of the most highly rated young players in the prem and replaced them with either a washed up Rooney or players from below us in the league.

Hardly great is it?
But we haven't Lost Morgan and Coleman ???

Way to miss the point. They'd have taken 4th last August before a ball was kicked, so the end result was fine - BUT, they started like a train and were considered title challengers until they broke at Christmas when the fixture congestion hammered their thin on quality squad. Their first XI on form was as good as anyones at it's peak, but they didn't and still haven't got the level of strength in depth that they're going to need with the addition of CL games this season.

probably was, but Leicester may have promised constant game time. we have promised ramirez that in that position. also want giroud. unlikely he wants to sit on the bench anymore. really like him me though.

Why can't people grasp the fact that Koeman is looking for a target man
Ina heap or however you spell his name is not a target man hence I doubt very much if we had any interest
It's not rocket science

I dont think Coutinho will be missed that much, and I'm a big admirer of his play. Lallana was still Liverpool's most innovative player last season and Solanka will slot into a creative role too. The addition of more pace with Salah is also ominous.

I still expect them to bring in a top European slotter.

They'll have less onfield gelling/rebuilding to do this season and look a more settled unit. They should grab another top four spot

Why are you so positive when talking about Liverpool ? And the polar opposite when talking about the club you apparently love?

So Liverpool should get top 4?
I'm assuming you agree Chelsea will too?
And Spurs?
And city?

That's forgetting about Man U and arse...

Yet anything less than CL for us means koeman is a failure and should be sacked?
