IF Barca do sell Neymar, then they will buy Coutinho mate.

Difference between Leipzig and he rs is simple, Liverpools policy is to buy cheap and sell at their peak for maximum profit mate, IF Barca flush with cash after selling Neymar for 200m come calling - their owners will see it as the perfect scenario to sell

Hmmmm, dunno - if Liverpool have already turned down £90m, what could Barca realistically offer them to persuade them to part with him? We're already in the realms of silly with their last offer. It'd could take £120m or something and I doubt Barca would be stupid enough to offer that

EDIT - Anyway, enough about them. Sigurdsson eh? That's taking a while

Thought I'd stumbled across the RS discussion thread then, had to check. Anyway, they're still cack at CD and GK. we got the one of the Prems top CDs and the best GK, throw in the Class of Rooney with his experience, the talented Sandro who will take this League by storm, Klassen is just class, and if we can get SIggy over the line, we'll have one the the Leagues best attacking mids over the last few years, and lets not forget the youngsters coming through too. Why are people talking the RS up so much?

I put up a post a whilst back about Klopps Dortmund record and parallels to Liverpool so far as well mate.

His methods are built to start like a house on fire and pull away from everyone before fatigue sets in - that way you have the momentum of a big lead to carry you over the line, in a 2 horse race like the Bundesliga was - yeah it works cos at worst you have one other team with you then a massive drop off - and he capitalised on a Bayern in a mess when he won the titles their as he pulled away too far for them to claw back the lead, it's also easier in that league to a winter break recharging the team and delaying the attrition on the squad.

BUT a big thing i saw from looking through the Dortmund records was how after a season working under Klopp - a lot of the players started to pick up at an ever increasing rate - injuries, like an absolutely ridiculous total for a large amount of them, and the longer they had been working under Klopp - the worse the injuries frequencies became and the severity increased also.

Basically a sign he breaks players down FAST with the intensity of training and play.

Sturridge basically totally broken now, Henderson went as well last season, you now have Clyne and Milner both with pre season injuries already, another season working under Klopp and throw in a harder season with another 8-12 games they have to fit in, they are gonna be decimated much like his last season at Dortmund turned out, when his squad basically physically broke down with the sheer number ofinjuries they had throughout.

Spot on that. He was desperate to push through the winter break idea in this country.
Instead you get 5 games in 2 weeks followed by loads of cup games in a hectic January.
They will have a similar season to the last one with more injuries.

We have to get a settled side asap. We have the making of a very good side but it needs a bit of time to gel.
Hopefully we can add a few more to give us a strong, balanced side.

I dont think Coutinho will be missed that much, and I'm a big admirer of his play. Lallana was still Liverpool's most innovative player last season and Solanka will slot into a creative role too. The addition of more pace with Salah is also ominous.

I still expect them to bring in a top European slotter.

They'll have less onfield gelling/rebuilding to do this season and look a more settled unit. They should grab another top four spot

You're a bad boy, dave. All smooth pitchers start with a slow windup. Are you looking for work in the Cardinals organization?

In here please

Is he really though, the position we've needed filling most for 2 years and he still has no one in. It should have been sorted way before now.
Well Koeman is only here one year
We played to Lulakus strengths last year and avoided his weaknesses.
Lukaku has all the physical attributes to be a target man but none of the required skills , so we played him not as a target man but as a striker and it worked
It however left us totally reliant on him to score goals.
No striker worth his salt would have signed for us knowing he was back up to Lukaku and with no European games to play we had no need for rotation
When Rom threw his last toy out of the Oran and spit out his final dummy it was time to change the tactics to spread the goals around the team
Hence the signings so far and the pursuit of a genuine target man

Why can't people grasp the fact that Koeman is looking for a target man
Ina heap or however you spell his name is not a target man hence I doubt very much if we had any interest
It's not rocket science

he definitely wants a target man - if we get sig, with the way him baines and rooney can cross a ball it makes sense.

Exactly. No big time target man would sign here to play second fiddle to Lukaku.

Neymar actually leaving Barca, Deulofeu to get proper gametime next season, tear it up for Barca, we're left looking like muppets.

It is prophesied
