People kidding themselves that Liverpool aren't going to have a good season. They have a good squad and a top manager.
It's the same every summer. We get excited about our signings, write off the Kopites and presume we will have a better season.

Then the season kicks off and reality sets in.

I don't get why so many of you think we are going to have such a good season? We are losing our 2 best players and not replacing the goals scored by Rom.

I am extremely concerned.

If it's so obvious to so many on here why do a few people fail to grasp this simple fact
Some of the names that have been mentioned as possible strikers for us have left me scratching my head whilst looking at my phone.

Well I would imagine it's because people have their own opinions, and put them forward as such rather than looking at things exactly as the manager would.

Just because Koeman wants a target man, doesn't mean a fan can't think that would be better off with a different player up front, same as fans are welcome to think that Martina shouldn't be playing ahead of Kenny, DCL isn't a winger or Sigurdsson would be the biggest waste of money since my old man spent £500 on a microdisk player just as the ipod was released.

As it stands right now they will yes. but they have their weakness, something they failed to repair with Van Dijk and Keita. If they signed ythose two then i would personally see them on paper as a team that could challenge at the top this season. However they haven't signed them, and potentially they could lose their star player in Couthino which all of a sudden has them scrambling to find a replacement who may or may not be as good (considering the player they did want they cant sign now).

Plus consistency, Klopp was found out in Germany and the brilliant Dortmund team then struggled. All it takes is for teams here to figure them, out again with a poorer side this time round and Klopp won't look so good then.

But yes, as it stands, they could well be consolidating that top 4 place based on them grinding results last season.

So Liverpool should get top 4?
I'm assuming you agree Chelsea will too?
And Spurs?
And city?

That's forgetting about Man U and arse...

Yet anything less than CL for us means koeman is a failure and should be sacked?
Claim to be part of the elite, then get in amongst them and prove it.

its amazing. Most on here claim Liverpool are [Poor language removed] etc.

How do people not realise...we have lost our 2 best players and replaced with players from below us!

But why put forward names of strikers the manager has no intention of signing
If there was 6/7 target man strikers mentions and their merits and faults discussed then great
It's like the VVD thread , why bother it's never going to happen
I'd love it happen but it won't.
As to the Martins and Kenny situation I agree we can and discuss it because both those players are st the club
The same with DCL and possibly Siggy
But why discuss players the club have no intention of signing

I agree Macca, I think they will mount a stronger challenge for the tiltle than Manu Or Arsenal. I still dont think they have the squad depth though, so a few key injuries and it will all go west! Roll on the first derby ;)

...according to the Watford Observer, Oumar Niasse is likely to sign for Chris Hughton's Brighton ahead of the new season.

Also, Emre Mor from Borrusia Dortmund being linked with us and the Reds.
