Big test for the new management team. They've had a year to sort themselves out, and they started the transfer period exceptionally well. However, everything appears to have stalled and it does increasingly look like 'old' Everton behaviour. This is a problem as it suggests that the mindset has not changed enough. Sigurdsson et al should have been done, and the players incorporated into training already for what is a really tough start. Big mentality clubs just get the deals done and don't baulk at paying the required rate for top-class players.
Are we serious about winning something?

If we'd not spent the money on those players we wouldn't have them here, presume you'd prefer us to have paid less for different players. Sandro for £5m seems ok.

That's a caricature of my position. I want us to spend a lot. But I want us to spend wisely and I want us to spend without having to sell our best players.

You get no slaps on the back for having your cash taken off you in vast amounts that dont make sense.
 

Why would he be flying out though? Fair enough that Pickford and Sandro were in Poland, but there isnt anything on at the minute that would mean a player cant come to us.
