Summer Transfer Window 2017

Thats from the comments Pulis made yesterday saying we will spend 'massive' in the summer.

Here's another one.........probably sign for Arsenal on Wednesday.

Pulis also said the same after we beat them both home and away, he reminds me of moyes in his 'kinfe to a gunfight' days obviously we will spend more due to player sales alone.

We honestly don't have man city levels of investment willing to plow into club, take away the Usamnov talk USM deal consolidated debt bla bla blah reality is most of funding if not all has been due to player sales and excess in TV money. Like it or not this summer is key

We literally know nothing about Walsh. Gueye and Schneiderlin have both proved to be good buys. Let's judge him on our overall recruitment over a period of time.

Is two windows not good enough to get a rough idea? first one was abysmal and second we have massive gaps on the pitch, despite spending 70 million in one season.

The same man who was close to joining saints but left for villa for a bigger sign on fee?

More evidence that he was a southampton target who got away and Walsh and Koeman agreed on him.

..

So let's judge him on what he's actually signed

Williams 10 mil down the drain mid table player not good enough for club who wants to win trophies.

Bolasie same as above but paid more for an up market Mcgeady

Lookman looks out his depth and not ready for prem

Morgan good player but hardly a great unknown find and would of joined with no walsh due to Koeman.

Valencia lol.

So his track record isn't really great is it and with addition of wanting few other no marks who thankfully didn't join would of been worse.

My point was he has to earn his money or be replaced.
Williams not good enough?
Look at the defensive turn around which he has been a key part. Likewise Bolasie was fairly productive till his injury, so hardly a "McGeady". The players we've signed have been overall pretty good, more quality players please Steve

Williams was a stop gap proven premiership player to replace stones. I'll agree he's been largely disappointing.
Bolasie took time to settle and played in a period when the whole team lacked confidence. How I'd love to see him in the side now.
Lookman? How is he out of his depth. Definitely one for the future and koeman has admitted the lad has got talent.
Morgan - koeman signing as you say.
Valencia - a loan fee only but what an impact sub he has proved to be. I don't think he will be bought come end of the season, but he's hardly been laughable as you suggest.

Point one Williams shouldn't of been considered for a club who wants to win anything.
Bolasie we over paid and should be squad player at best.
Lookman is out his depth when he did play he reminded me of Adama Traore missed some good chances and produced nothing but city first min fluke, Koeman has said he has talent but he's hardly going to say he's another Kone is he when they bought him for 10 mil.
Valenica is a good impact sub but a poor signing considering we wanted to buy Koulibaliy according to Moshiri why couldn't we buy a striker?

Doesn't add up.

Thats mad mate, each of the above buys are a massive improvement. Your also being very one side of the coin, have you seen the amount of dead weight he has potentially shifted making the club 10s of millions.

I think his recruitment has been excellent, i think his ability to shift players has been sublime, winner: Everton.

Bolasie and Williams will never be good enough for anything other than mid table. We're 7th in the league are people happy with them type of signings? we look miles away from top sides and signings like that will get us nowhere.

Those same players you dont seem to value have us 6th in the table, amongst the highest scorers in the league and the 5th best defence. That suggests we must have done something right with our recruitment.

I'm happy some rubbish has left but I am not going to be happy with celebrating players who shouldn't be at club anyway leaving when there is still more deadweight here (Joel, Barry, Mccarthy, Mori, Lennon etc)

I wouldn't say excellent but what i would say that the early signs look good (keane, siggurrson, pickford linked)

But a case can be made that we seen last season with the draxler and co links that we are still at the stage of talk and promises until we sign them.
